Tragedy on the Road: Three friends die in Feni accident
What started as a routine journey home for three friends ended in tragedy on Monday night when their motorcycle lost control and crashed on the Noakhali-Feni regional road in Dagonbhuiyan upazila of Feni.
The accident claimed the lives of all three riders, leaving their families and communities in mourning.
The victims—Antar Gosh,18, of Jugidia village in Noakhali’s Companiganj upazila, Sourav Gopal, 23, of Alipur village in Begumganj upazila, and Debu Boishab, 21, of Birahimpur village in Companiganj—were returning home from Feni when the tragic incident occurred.
A Journey Cut Short
According to Delwar Hossain, a CNG-run autorickshaw driver who witnessed the crash, the motorcycle was speeding along the road when it struck a log of tree left by the roadside in Asharfpur, near Bakerbazar.
The impact caused all three riders to be thrown onto the road.

Before they could recover, a speeding vehicle from behind ran over two of them—Sourav and Debu—killing them on the spot.
Antar, who was severely injured, was rushed to 250-bed General Hospital, Feni but succumbed to his injuries on the way, said Dr Md Sujan of the hospital.
Legal Proceedings Underway
Officer-in-Charge Md Harunur Rashid of Mohipal Highway Police Station said that law enforcement recovered two bodies from the accident site.
The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, and legal formalities were underway.
The sudden loss of these young men has cast a shadow of grief over their villages, where they were known among their peers and families.
The tragedy serves as yet another grim reminder of the perils of reckless driving and road safety negligence.
A Community in Mourning
The deaths of Antar, Sourav, and Debu have left their families in shock, struggling to comprehend how a night out with friends turned into an irreversible loss.

2 workers killed as truck ploughs into divider in Feni
Two construction workers were killed as a truck ploughed through an under-construction divider on Feni-Noakhali road in Dagonbhuiyan upazila of Feni district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Ajmer, 28, son of Abul Hossain of Mollaghata area of Barahiguni in Dagonbhuiyan upazila and Abul Khayer, 35, son of Sadek Ali of Mia Bazar Ramchandrapur area of Cumilla.

Dagonbhuiyan Police Station Inspector Muhammad Hasan Imam said workers of contractor company NDE were working on a divider on Feni-Noakhali road at night.
The accident occurred around 8:30pm when the truck ploughed into the divider after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Feni General Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
Police seized the truck from the spot. However, the driver and his assistant managed to flee the scene, police added.
