Chief of Naval Staff Vice-Admiral Mohammad Shaheen Iqbal was adorned with the rank badge of Admiral at a function in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban on Thursday.

The government on Saturday appointed M Shaheen Iqbal chief of Bangladesh Navy after promoting him to the rank of vice-admiral from rear-admiral.
