The throat-slit body of a Rohingya boy was recovered from a drain in Ukhiya camp of Cox’s Bazar early Saturday.  The deceased Md Mujib, 17, was son of Obaidul Haque of West bloc in the camp No-8 of Ukhiya upazila. Later, they informed Rohingya Majhi (leaders) who subsequently called Armed Battalion Police (APBn) in the camp, he said. The throat-slit body of a garment worker was recovered from her house at Bymile of Konabari area in Gazipur city on Sunday morning. The body of Aliach Liza, wife of Masud Rana and hailed from Gopalganj thana of Tangail, was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue. Masud used to fight with Liza over family issues and he attacked her with a sharp knife at one stage of altercation on Saturday night, said Officer-in-Charge of Konabari police station M Ashrafuddin. A 45-year-old woman was slaughtered allegedly by her husband in Baraigram upazila of Natore early Sunday. The deceased was identified as Beauty Khatun, wife of van puller Abdul Barek of the upazila. Quoting family members, Abu Siddique, officer-in-charge (OC) of Baraigram police station, said Beauty’s husband Abdul Barek slaughtered her while she was asleep around 2am. He might have killed her following family feud and fled immediately. Efforts are on to arrest Barek, the OC added.

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a 17-year old SSC examinee from Ali Nagar union in Sadar upazila of Bhola on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Obaidur Rahman, of the upazila. He was an SSC examinee from Pashchim Ruhita Secondary School and used to work as an electrician. Locals said Obaidur remained missing since Tuesday night. The body was later sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added. Besides, processes are underway to file a case in this regard, said Arman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhola Model police station.

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a schoolboy from a waterbody in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Rahat, 13, son of Shahadat Hossain of Agbaniya village of the upazila. He was a student of class VII of Balla Coronation High School. Locals spotted the throat-slit body in the waterbody at Kagujipara and informed police, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station Mollah Azizur Rahman.
