3 cops suffer bullet wound during annual firing training in Rangamati
Three police officers suffered bullet injuries during annual firing training at Betbunia Police Training Centre in Kawkhali upaizla of Rangamati district on Tuesday.
The injured were constables Minu Ara, Ovi Barua and Sumon Kanti of Chattogram Metropolitan Police.

Parvez Ali, officer-in-charge of Kawkhali Police Station, said the accident occurred around 11 am when bullets fired from the gun of female constable Nargis Akter hit the three police officials as she fell on the ground due to vertigo during firing.
The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital.
Of the injured constables, Minu is posted at Akbar Shah Police Station while Ovi and Sumon are posted at Bakolia Police Station of Chattogram city.

2 Swechchasebak League leaders suffer bullet wound in Bogura infighting
Two leaders of Swechchasebak League suffered bullet wounds in a clash between two factions over previous enmity in Bogura town.
The injured are Nazmul Hasan Orange, 28, assistant secretary for literature and cultural affairs of Bogura District Committee of the Swechchasebak League, and Minhaj Hossain Apel, 28, ward committee leader of the party.

Police said a number of youths came at Malgram Dabtola Mor in 4-5 motorcycles and opened fire at Orange and Apel around 8pm, leaving them inured.
Later, the duo were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.

Selim Reza, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bogura Sadar Police Station, said Orange and Apel were shot due to rivalry between two groups in Swechchasebak League.
The identities of those who opened fire have been confirmed and a drive is underway to arrest them, said the OC.

Juba League leader shot while campaigning in Pirojpur
A Juba League leader sustained a bullet wound in an attack by rivals while campaigning ahead of union parishad election in Shankar Pasha union of Sadar upazila in Pirojpur on Sunday night.
Faisal Mahbub Shuvo, general secretary of Municipal Juba League in the area, was injured with several others in the attack.
Advocate Akhtaruzzaman Manik, organizing secretary of Pirojpur district Juba League, said the incident occurred on the way back from Mallikbari area of Shankar Pasha union in Pirojpur Sadar upazila around 8pm on Sunday.

Manik blamed the supporters of rival candidate Nasir Hossain Matubbar for opening fire and attacking them. At the time, Faisal sustained a bullet wound and Hasan Sikder, vice-president of Sadar Secha Sebok League, was hit on the head.
All the injured were sent to Pirojpur Zila Hospital. However, critically injured Faisal and Hasan were then shifted to Khulna Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.
Pirojpur Additional Superintendent of Police Mollah Azad Hossain said police was deployed in the area following the violence.

5 among 22 victims suffer bullet wounds in Munshiganj
At least 22 people were injured, including five with bullets, and over 50 establishments vandalised during a clash between two groups of people over establishing supremacy at Sholoani village in Gazaria upazila on Saturday.
