Father, son killed in Habiganj road crash
A man and his five-year-old son were killed when a pick-up van knocked them down on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Kandigaon in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj district on Tuesday, said police.
The deceased were identified as Yusuf Ali, 50,an expatriate and Mohammad Ali, of Kandigaon village.
Yusuf was supposed to go back abroad on Sunday, said his family members.

The accident occurred around 11:30 am while they were crossing the highway, leaving them dead on the spot, said Parimal Chandra, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Highway Police Station.
Agitated local people put up barricade on the highway by placing logs for some time, halting vehicular movement.
Later, the vehicular movement came to normal after police intervention.
