Bangladesh Coast Guard on Wednesday recovered 16,800 pieces of yaba pills from a pickup van in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf. 

Former Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das, an accused in Major Sinha killing case,  was shown arrested in another case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission .

Four policemen who were among the accused in the case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Kha were sent to Cox's Bazar jail on Wednesday, after making their confessional statement.

Two more murder cases were filed against suspended officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das and 30 others ‘over killing two people in crossfire’.

The probe body, formed by the Home Ministry over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan in Teknaf, submitted its report to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Monday.

A Cox’s Bazar court on Tuesday sent former officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das to jail in a case filed over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

Former Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das and 27 others have been accused in another case filed by a woman with a Cox's Bazar court on Tuesday. 

Seven police personnel, including officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das and inspector Liakat Ali, have been suspended in connection with the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar district.
