Italian President Sergio Mattarella has said he is well aware about the stunning successes of Bangladesh and he stressed on stronger ties between the two countries in the coming days. 

 The Embassy of Bangladesh in Rome, Italy has honoured five expatriate Bangladeshis and a business organisation with “Remittance Award". 

The government has appointed Md. Shameem Ahsan, currently serving as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria, as the next Ambassador to Italy.
