RFL launches motorcycle helmets for the first time in the country
RFL has launched motorcycle helmet in the market with the aim of delivering high-quality helmets within the purchasing power of people.
RN Paul, managing director of RFL Group, unveiled the cover of "Safemate" branded helmet manufactured for the first time in the country at a hotel in the capital on Thursday, according to a press release.

The "Safemate" helmets are being manufactured at Durable Plastic Limited factory, a sister concern of RFL Group, located in Palash, Narsingdi. The factory has an annual production capacity of over 120,000 pieces. Initially, around Tk 20 crore has been invested in this factory, it said.
The annual helmet market in the country is over Tk 500 crore at the moment. Almost all helmets used in Bangladesh are imported. About 60 percent of imported helmets come from India and the remaining 40 percent come from China, the release also said.

“Helmet is an important accessories for bikers. Apart from ensuring safety, it is mandatory for bikers and pillion riders to wear helmet as per the existing laws of the country. The number of motorcycle users in Bangladesh is increasing day by day due for various reasons including socio-economic conditions, lifestyle changes. For the same reason, the demand for helmets is also rising,” said the RFL MD.
“The helmets available in Bangladesh are almost imported and most of the imported helmets are not of standard quality. The Safemate helmet is BSTI certified, which is the only one in Bangladesh. The main purpose of entering into this business is to deliver high-quality helmets within the purchasing power of people,” he said.
Toukirul Islam, executive director of Durable Plastic Limited, said the main feature of Safemate helmet is that it is made of advanced ABS shell and PC material. It has high quality belt and locking system. Moreover, there is an advanced ventilation system to ensure the comfort of the user.

Initially two types of helmets will be available in the market. The half face helmet will have a maximum retail price of Tk 1,400 and the full face helmet will have a maximum retail price of Tk 2,250. "Safemate" helmets are available at superstores apart from shops that sell bike accessories and helmets, the release also said.
Durable Plastic Limited’s Head of Marketing Esfaquel Hoque, Assistant General Manager (Operation) Nahid Kabir, PRAN-RFL Group’s Assistant General Manager (Public Relations) Touhiduzzaman and high officials of Durable Plastics Limited were present on the occasion.

Vision launches OLED TV
RFL Group's electronics brand Vision has brought OLED TV to the local market.
RN Paul, managing director of RFL Group, unveiled the cover of VISION OLED TV at a programme at a hotel in the capital recently.
"Compared to LCD and LED TVs, OLED TVs have several benefits. The crystalline layers in OLED TVs are thinner, lighter and more flexible than those in LED or LCD TVs. This allows significantly broader viewing angles and is ideal for situations when many people watch TV at once."
Shaikh Mahabubur Rahman, head of marketing at Vision Electronics, said, "Vision OLED TV comes with 4.8mm thickness and 4K resolution. It has a Chameleon process engine, and a 120Hz refresh rate which is required for perfect picture and gaming."

RFL launches three kitchen sinks
RFL Group has launched three new models of kitchen sink named Popular, Premium and Luxury.
Md Moniruzzaman, Director at Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd (RMIL), a sister concern of RFL, has launched the products through a programme held at the head office of RFL in the capital’s Badda on Saturday.
The new products are made of high quality stainless steel. Whisper technology has been used in these kitchen sink for the first time in Bangladesh so that there should be no noise during use, said a media release.

The prices of products are between Tk 1,400 and Tk 4,200 and these sinks are available all over the country through authorized dealers, RFL exclusive point and Best Buy.
In addition, the products can be ordered through the popular e-commerce sitewww.othoba.com and rfleshop.com, it added.
“RFL kitchen sink has received a good response from the customers due to the quality of the products and designs. We always try to produce new products in our factory considering the customer’s demand. I hope, the consumers will get their desired products at reasonable price,” said Moniruzzaman.

RFL brings app-controlled geysers
Rangpur Metal Industries, a concern of business conglomerate RFL Group, has brought app-controlled geysers to the market.
Md Moniruzzaman, director of Rangpur Metal, unveiled the cover of the products during a programme in the capital Thursday.

"Now, 30 per cent of the local demand for geysers is met through imports. Rangpur Metal is fulfilling about 45 per cent of the domestic need. We hope that, in five years, this appliance will not have to be imported. And after meeting the local demand, we plan to export it," he said.
Shariful Islam, head of marketing at Rangpur Metal, said: "The demand for geysers grows during the winter season. We have launched app-controlled geysers this year, considering the demand of the buyers. The geysers can be turned on and off from anywhere with the app; the temperature can also be controlled."

Now RFL has 13 types of geysers. The prices of the appliance range between Tk2,600 and Tk14,700.

Rainbow Paints introduces 3 new products
RFL Group's Rainbow Paints has introduced three new products – anti-bacterial interior, all-rounder interior paints and damp proof cellar.
RN Paul, managing director of RFL Group, launched the products in the capital recently.

"We hope customers will be able to protect their walls from any interior problem by using our new paints and cellar," he said.
The paints are made with a special type of emulsion and can protect the wall from harmful bacteria, said Kamrul Hasan, chief operating officer of Rainbow Paints.

RFL introduces bubble flow technology in Shine Platinum series
RFL Plastics Saturday launched Shine Platinum Bathroom fittings, which use bubble flow technology.
RFL Group Managing Director RN Paul said: "After introducing Shine branded bathroom fitting, we received good response from the consumers due to its affordable price and high quality. We have used bubble flow technology in the Shine Platinum series which will save 30% to 40% of water."

Vision Electronics launches Google-approved Android TV
Vision Electronics has brought Google-approved Android TV to the market as the first local brand.
RFL Group Managing Director RN Paul launched the TV at a programme at RFL headquarters in the capital on Sunday.

Google-backed Android TV operating system and the accompanying Play Store applications will be automatically updated and viewers will be able to enjoy the official features of Android.
The major difference between an authorised Android and an unauthorised one is that the TV with an unauthorised Android operating system loses all functionality of its applications within a short time and the update stops. So, the customers do not enjoy the pleasure of the original application.
