A fire that broke out at Uttara’s BGB Market in Dhaka this morning, was doused at 11:25 am. The fire broke out around 10:25 am and was brought under control around 11:10 am. Also Read: 58 markets in Dhaka at risk of fire; 9 marked 'extremely risky' Six units of firefighters worked to douse the blaze at BGB Market in Uttara. No casualties were reported at the time of filing this report.    

A fire that broke out on the 4th floor of the 12-storeyed  Tax Commissioner's  building at Dhaka's Segun Bagicha on Monday has been doused. Read: Dhaka plastic factory fire doused  "The fire started at 13:45pm and four firefighting  brought the blaze under control   around 2:15pm," Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Deputy Assistant Director (media cell) Shahjahan Sikder said. However, the origin for the fire could not be known immediately, he added.

A blaze at Banani’s multi-storey Ahmed Tower was extinguished on Sunday afternoon, nearly an hour after the fire erupted.
