At least 40 people were killed after a private passenger bus veered off a bridge and plunged into a canal in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, police said.

A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured after a truck hit their vehicle in Kajla of Jatrabari area in the capital early Monday.
