A widely circulated video footage of several Bollywood celebrities allegedly consuming drugs during a party at filmmaker Karan Johar's home in the city of Mumbai has prompted India's narcotics control authority to widen its probe into the drugs scandal.

Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Friday claimed that the rape allegations against him were "outright lie" as he was in Sri Lanka at the time, a day after he was grilled by police in Mumbai for a good eight hours in connection with the seven-year-old case.
