Khaleda to visit Evercare for health check-up
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to visit Evercare Hospital in the capital this (Thursday) evening for a routine health check-up.
“Madam [Khaleda] will be taken to Evercare Hospital in the evening for health check-up as per the advice of her medical board," said BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
He said the BNP chief is likely to leave her Gulshan residence around 7pm for the hospital. “She will undergo some necessary medical tests at Evercare Hospital as per the advice of her medical board,” he said.
BNP to hold special prayers marking Khaleda’s birthday on Friday
The 80-year-old former Prime Minister has been suffering from various health complications for several years, including liver, kidney and heart-related issues.
Begum Zia has been receiving treatment at her home in Gulshan under the care of a specialised medical board, which includes doctors from both Evercare Hospital and her personal team.

Obaidul Quader leaves for Singapore for health check-up
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader left for Singapore on Monday morning for a routine health check-up.
Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, left Dhaka on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 8.30am for a routine health check-up at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, said a press release signed by Sheikh Walid Fayez, senior information officer of the ministry.

He will return to Dhaka on January 4.
This AL leader has been suffering from chronic heart and lung problems for a long time. In 2019, three blockages were found in his coronary arteries.

President returns home after 18-day medical tour
President Abdul Hamid returned home Tuesday morning, wrapping up his 18-day tour of Germany and the United Kindom for a health check-up and the treatment of an eye problem.
“A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8.40am," President’s Deputy Press Secretary Munsi Jalal Uddin told UNB.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Foreign Affairs Minister AK Abdul Momen, Dean of Diplomatic Corps Archbishop George Kocherry, British High Commissioner in Dhaka Robert Chatterton Dickson, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam, Army Chief, Acting Navy Chief, Assistant Chief of Air Staff, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, and other senior officials received the President at the airport.
President Hamid left London's Heathrow Airport for Dhaka at 5.50 pm (London time) Monday.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneen and senior officials of the country's mission in London saw off the President at the airport.

On October 9, the President, his wife Rashida Khanam and other entourage members left Dhaka for German capital Berlin. He travelled to London from Berlin on October 19.
The 77-year-old President has long been suffering from glaucoma, a group of eye conditions that damage the optical nerve.
