Gas supply to remain suspended in several Dhaka areas Tuesday
Gas supply will remain suspended for eight hours in several areas of Dhaka on Tuesday as Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited are set to carry out pipeline replacement work.
According to a notice issued by the company on Monday, gas supply will remain shut from 12:00pm to 8:00pm in the Free School Street, Bhuter Goli, Kitchen Road, Al Amin Road and Kathalbagan areas.
The suspension will affect both residential and commercial consumers, it said.
Titas Gas said the disruption is necessary to replace old leaking distribution pipelines and service lines in the Free School Street, Hatirpool, Pukurpar and Dhanmondi areas.
The company also warned that consumers in surrounding areas may experience low gas pressure during the maintenance work.
It apologised for the temporary inconvenience to be caused for customers and sought their cooperation during the scheduled maintenance.

Titas to suspend gas supply in parts of Gazipur, Tangail for 16 hours Tuesday
Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has announced a 16-hour suspension of gas supply in parts of Gazipur and Tangail on Tuesday to facilitate pipeline tie-in works.
According to a notice issued by Titas Gas, gas supply through pipelines from Joydebpur in Gazipur to Kumudini in Tangail will remain suspended from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight on July 7.
As a result, all industrial, captive power and CNG customers connected to the affected pipelines in the Joydebpur, Naojor, Itahata, Kodda, Konabari, Kashimpur, Mouchak, Shafipur, Chandra (Palli Bidyut), Kaliakair and Mirzapur areas under Gazipur Division will remain without gas supply during the shutdown.
Titas Gas also said consumers in adjacent areas may experience low gas pressure throughout the maintenance period.
The company expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to its customers.

Gas supply resumes in Dhaka, adjoining areas
Gas supply has resumed in different areas in Dhaka city and adjoining areas from Thursday afternoon, said a Titas Gas announcement.
Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited suspended the gas supply at 10 pm on May 3 (Eid Day) for a period of 48 hours in different areas including Amin Bazar, Hemayetpur, Savar EPZ, Ashulia, Manikganj, Dhamrai due to a maintenance work.

It also said that some areas of Dhaka city may experience low pressure in gas supply during the same period which include Gabtoli, Mazar Road, Kalyanpur, Shymoli, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, and Dhanmondi.
Meanwhile, the Gas Transmission Company of Bangladesh (GTCL) in a public notice had also informed that it will suspend gas supply to two high-pressure pipelines for maintenance and replacement works for 48 hours from 10 pm on May 3.

The high-pressure gas pipelines are Dhanua-Savar 20-inch dia gas transmission line and 30-inch dia gas transmission line from Bangabandhu Bridge’s Eastern end to western end.
