Top Smartphones Being Released in April 2024: A Mix of Flagship, Midrange and Budget Options
After an exciting March release schedule, smartphone enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to in April as well. March saw most of the releases at MWC. The story would be more or less the same in April as well as Chinese releases in the previous months will have their global debut in April. With that said, here’s a list of the most anticipated smartphones to be released in April 2024.
Most Hyped Smartphones Releasing This April
OnePlus Nord CE4
The Nord CE from OnePlus has been the budget lineup of the brand for several years now. The Nord CE phones bring exceptional value for money like an ode to OnePlus’s early days.
We already have official renders of the new Nord CE4 on OnePlus India’s official website. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with 1240 by 2772 resolution, 451 ppi density, 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR 10+ support.
The processor will be an octa-core Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 based on the 4 Nm architecture coupled with Adreno 732 GPU. Users will be getting micro SDXC support along with 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB RAM configurations.

The back will feature two cameras with the main one being a 50 MP f/1.8 shooter. The second camera is rumored to be an 8 MP ultrawide shooter. The front will feature a usual 16 MP sensor.
We don’t have an exact release date as of yet, but based on rumors, it is expected to be sometime in mid-April.
OnePlus Nord 4
Another smartphone from OnePlus that’s expected to hit the international market is the OnePlus Nord 4. The Nord 4 will be the global variant of the already announced OnePlus Ace 3V.
By all accounts, the Nord 4 will share a lot of similarities with the CE4. But the former will have certain features to justify its higher price.

Unlike the CE4, the Nord 4 will come with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor. It will also have IP65 water and dust resistance. The Nord 4 will unfortunately miss out on the extendable storage option. The rest of the configuration is expected to be the same as of now.
Samsung Galaxy M15
Samsung is gearing up with their budget and mid-range lineup in April. The first of the M series smartphones to hit the market would be the budget Galaxy M15.
The M15 will feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 800 nits HBM, and 1080 by 2340 resolutions. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio will boast 396 ppi density.
On the processor end, users will be getting the entry-level MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ based on a 6 Nm architecture. The octa-core processor has a chip design of 2x2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. The smartphone will come in 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB storage configurations.

The expected release date of the Galaxy M15 is sometime in mid-April.

There’s a hard rumor going around about the new Galaxy M55. The initial idea that the M55 would mirror the A55 has been quelled thanks to a series of new leaks.
The M55 will feature a 6.7-inch screen with Super AMOLED tech onboard. That means a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1000 nits HBM is on the cards.

The Exynos 1480 found on the A55 would be replaced by a rather old Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 on the M55. The storage options will be either 128 GB or 256 GB with an extension of up to 1 TB.
The camera remains more or less the same with reduced ultrawide and macro capabilities and an enhanced selfie camera compared to the A55.
The Galaxy M55 will go live sometime in late April.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro
Motorola is gearing up with its flagship release of the year, the Edge 50 Pro.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor. It’s an underclocked version of this year’s flagship 8 Gen 3. The smartphone is absolutely stacked in terms of storage as users will be getting options of up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

The official India launch date of the Edge 50 Pro is set on 3rd April.
realme GT 5 Pro

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 4nm processor with storage options going up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB internal.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro
And the last one on the list is the Tecno Pova 6 Pro slated to launch in mid-April. The news comes after the device was officially announced in February this year.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro is expected to be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 6080 based on 6 nm architecture. The storage option on the device will go up to 256 GB internal and 12 GB of RAM.

Final Words
April 2024 is lined up with a lot of exciting smartphone releases ranging from flagships to mid-range to budget-friendly segments. Most of the releases have already been launched in the Chinese market as it always gets the exclusive first release from most local brands. Nonetheless, users will be getting a lot of choices in terms of price and performance match.

The comfortably held phone exhibits flat surface, and robust build quality without any creaks or flexing.

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is without a doubt one of the most attractive Tecno smartphones. The corporation has spent much on its design, giving it an upscale and sophisticated appearance. The elegant Tenco Phantom X2 Pro has a display and back panel with curved edges.
The front panel is dominated by an FHD+ display, while the back panel is comprised of renewable material, distinguishing it from other luxury smartphones.
The back surface provides a unique tactile sensation and makes the smartphone pleasant to grasp. Additionally, the unusual substance of the rear panel makes it resistant to fingerprints.

On the right side of the mobile device are the volume controls and the power button. The button section contains the charging port and stereo speakers, while the SIM card tray is located on the device's upper surface. The display's 120Hz refresh rate allowed for a fluid scrolling experience while using the smartphone. The screen is surrounded by tiny bezels on all sides, allowing for a much bigger display area.
In addition, the display provides broad viewing angles, allowing you to enjoy gaming and binge-watching sessions. We were unable to test the company's claim that the smartphone delivers decent sight in direct sunlight. Aside from this, the display is clean and clear, and the color reproduction is correct.

Hardware and Software
The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Dimesnity 9000 processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In addition, the smartphone supports 5GB of virtual RAM. Throughout our first testing, the smartphone operated well. On the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro, gaming and multitasking were likewise seamless.
In addition to a strong chipset, the Tecno Phantom X2 has a rather big battery. The company's flagship smartphone has a 5,160 mAh battery with 45W rapid charging capabilities. The manufacturer says that the smartphone can be charged to 50 percent in only 20 minutes. However, we have yet to verify this allegation. The dual-SIM smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual speakers for enhanced audio output.
Regarding software, the Phantom X2 Pro runs the Android 12 operating system on top of the company's HiOS 12 layer. The smartphone has a streamlined user interface, however, there are several bloatware programs, some of which cannot be removed.
Also, there is no app drawer, thus all downloaded applications would seem crowded on the home screen. The smartphone is equipped with all the native Android 12 capabilities, which will be covered in the in-depth review when the smartphone launches in India.

Instead of depending on the USB Power Delivery (PD) standard, Tecno has opted to deploy its own 45W charging technology. Although the charger that comes with the gadget does an excellent job of completely charging the device in a little over an hour, wireless charging is not an option.
Price of Tecno Phantom X2 Pro in Bangladesh

Tecno Pova 4 Review: Gaming on a Budget
Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Tecno Mobile is situated in Shenzhen. It was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of Transsion holdings. Tecno Mobile has created a reputation in the mid-range smartphone market over the last decade. Holding this legacy, the company recently launched its mid-range gaming smartphone, Tecno Pova 4. The phone was officially launched in Bangladesh on 6th October 2022. Let’s take a look at the key specs, pros, and cons of Tecno Pova 4.
Key Specifications of Tecno Pova 4
Design and Build Quality
The design of the Pova 4 is probably the most striking and eye-catching feature of the device. Even though the device is made from plastic, there’s a distinctly geometric design on the back. The brushed and polished back makes for an impressive aesthetic with the camera housing having the most unconventional and attractive design.
The two vertical camera lenses on the back side reminisce iPhone 12. But that’s a design choice we’ve seen increasingly on the budget to mid-range devices and the Pova 4 honestly pulls it off.
Read Google Pixel 7 Series Review: What’s New
Its dimensions are 170.59 mm high, 77.52mm wide, and 8.7mm thick. The build quality of the device is passable. It’s nothing sturdy and the device feels light in the hand because of the plastic build. The ports and button choices are the same as usual.
The fingerprint sensor is housed on the power button as usual. The existing sim tray also houses expandable storage. Type-C port, single loudspeaker, and 3.5 mm headphone jack are all located on the bottom of the device.
On the whole, the Pova 4 brings a breath of fresh air to stagnating design choices. But it's only visible if you use a clear case or no case at all. Techno Pove 4 is available in two colours: Uranolith Grey and Fluorite Blue.
Read OnePlus Ace Pro Review: Premium phone with flagship chipset
Display
The 6.82" HD+ display of the Pova 4 is an LCD panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is quite common that in budget devices the cost-saving measure is applied on either display or processor. Since Tecno Mobile is marketing the Pova 4 as a budget gaming device, the obvious choice of LCD over AMOLED is understandable.
But what doesn’t make sense is the resolution. The Pova 4 has a 720P resolution which is good enough for only 257 PPI. The low resolution combined with LCD technology makes for a lackluster experience overall.
Considering devices like Redmi Note 11 SE or POCO F1 priced in a similar bracket comes with FHD+ AMOLED panels. Therefore, the manufacturer's choice of a 720P panel in Pova 4 isn’t really justifiable.
Read Apple iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: Which is the Better Deal?
The display won’t blow you away as a deeper look easily allows you to see the individual pixel. But for day-to-day usage, the panel holds up pretty well. And it's true for outdoor experience as well. But will it be a multimedia consumption device? Probably not.
Camera
One of the prime complaints with Tecno phones is their average cameras. With the prime focus on gaming, it was expected that photography would take a backseat on the Pova 4. And it did.
The dual camera on the back features a 50 MP main sensor along with a secondary sensor which is unrated. The camera work is mainly done by the main sensor here.
Read Top 10 Smartphones coming to Bangladesh in October 2022
Like the ancestor Pova 3, Tecno Mobile doesn’t bring any hardware improvement in the camera segment of Pova 4.
The main camera has PDAF which is its only notable feature. Tecno claims that they are using AI for the main camera pictures which can render better post-processing.
The pictures from the main camera came out decent in bright outdoor light. The camera has a dedicated HDR mode which also enhances the picture quality in both outdoor and indoor lighting.
Read Asus ROG Phone 6D Review: Worth the price tag?
The main camera can shoot videos up to 1440P at 30 fps which is a welcome addition.
On the front users will get a generic 8 MP camera whose capabilities are limited to 1080P.
Overall, the camera performance pales in comparison to some of its competitors. The quality of images could’ve definitely been better on the Pova 4.
Processor and Performance
Tecno Pova 4 is powered by a MediaTek MT8781 Helio G99 processor based on the 6 Nm architecture. G99 is a well-capable processor in the budget segment. It’s an octa-core one with 2 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 chips. The processor has been tweaked a bit to clock higher performance than usual.
Read Xiaomi Redmi 11 Prime Review: Performance at a budget price
The G99 is complemented by the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. This device runs on Android 12 OS. Pova 4 sports 8GB RAM combined with 128GB ROM.
Speaking of performance, the G99 absolutely breezes past everything. It perfectly handles whatever is thrown at it without a hiccup. Leading gaming titles like Asphalt 9, COD or PUBG easily runs at max settings which were otherwise not possible before.
Even though it’s a capable processor, it does tend to heat up the device quite easily. A mere 30 minutes of gaming at the highest setting will cause the device to really heat up and thermal throttle.
Read Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2 Review: Watch FIFA World Cup on 120 inch Screen
Still, the performance combined with a 90 Hz smooth refresh rate makes for an impressive UI experience.
Battery and Charge Time
The battery on the Tecno Pova 4 is 6000 mAh. The device also supports fast charging up to 18W. Given the efficient chip and the HD display, users will get an amazing battery life on the device. However, with just 18 W of fast charging, the charge will be much higher, unfortunately.
Other Features
Tecno Pova 4 bears a bunch of handy sensors: G-Sensor, Electronic compass, NFC, Ambient Light Distance sensor, Gyroscope, and Fingerprint Sensor.
Read Price Drop: Is it the right time to buy an iPhone 13?
It also has other necessary features like Bluetooth, GPS, FM, WiFi, OTG, etc.
Official Price of Tecno Pova 4 in Bangladesh
The price of the Tecno Pova 4 is 21,990 BDT for the 8/128 GB model. The 8/128 GB version of the device is the only available model in Bangladesh. The price is subject to change.
Final Words
The Tecno Mobile company has slowly evolved into a market dominator in Africa and South Asia. Tecno Phones have gained a reputation in Bangladesh too.
Read Xiaomi POCO M5 Review: Budget gaming phone with elegant design
Like its predecessor, the Pova 4, the latest addition to the Pova lineup, brings high performance at an affordable entry-level budget price. But it comes at some cut corners.
The display and the camera are probably the main downsides of the Pova 4. These segments are something that Tecno Mobile needs to work its way through. Other than that, the device brings an innovative design, a capable processor, and an amazing battery life.
So, who is this for actually? Anyone looking for a solid daily driver or an entry-level gaming smartphone can easily consider the Tecno Pova 4.

Tecno Spark 8 Pro Review with Price in Bangladesh
Tecno Mobile has been around in the local market since 2017. Founded in 2006, the Shenzhen-based company primarily focuses on making budget smartphones. Before entering the South Asian market, the company had a market focus on Africa where it became one of the top 3 mobile brands. The Tecno Spark 8 Pro is in line with the company's ideal of delivering the best on budget. The phone was officially released on 15th November in Bangladesh. Here are some of its key features so that customers can decide whether it can be their next choice or not.
Tecno Spark 8 Pro key Features
Design and Build Quality
The design of the Tecno Spark 8 pro is definitely one of its strongest suits. Even though the phone sports a plastic body all around, it still looks and feels premium in the hand. The back of the phone features dual-tone plastic which gives it a unique look. The camera module is tucked into a wide glossy panel which gives the striking dual-tone look of the back.

At 0.36-inch thickness, the phone is comparatively on the bulkier side. However, that ensures a solid build without any flex anywhere. Even though the phone is a plastic-built one. The volume rocker and the power button are on the same right side of the phone. The bottom of the phone features a USB Type-C port along with a headphone jack and a bottom-firing speaker. Overall, the design is nothing over the top. But the build quality is quite sturdy considering the complete plastic build.
Display
The display is one of the main selling points of the Tecno Spark 8 pro. The front features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD capacitive display. The display comes in a full HD plus resolution with a 395 ppi density. It also supports a wide color gamut at 16M colors.
Since the device is quite long, Tecno opted for the 20:9 aspect ratio with this device. There is a punch hole for the front-facing camera on the top middle. The hole is a bit large compared to the competitors in the market but that’s just how things are with budget smartphones.

The display has an 83.7% screen-to-body ratio which isn’t the best but not terrible either. The screen is perfectly legible indoors and can go all the way up to 450 nits in outdoor condition. Viewing angles are also decent but it starts to show some color shift at low light. However, the touch response and sRGB range more than make up for it. This is one of the better IPS LCD panels in a budget range.
Camera
Tecno Spark 8 Pro features a triple camera module on the back. The primary sensor is a 48 MP, f/1.8, PDAF wide-angle lens. In addition to that, there is a 2 MP f/2.4 portrait lens. However, it mainly acts as a depth sensor for portrait shots. The phone also features an additional AI lens with an f/2.0 aperture.
The main camera can record at 4K at 30 fps which is decent enough considering the budget offering. The outdoor photos come out bright and crisp with proper lighting. However, things start to get grainy indoors in a dimly lit environment. For the price, the main camera takes decent photos which are nothing out of the ordinary.

On the front, the phone offers an 8MP f/2.0 single shooter with dual flash. The front camera can also record at 1080p at 30fps. The story of the front camera is also the same as that of the back. Colors and details look nice in well-lit environments. However, the camera really struggles in low light. There aren’t any portrait options available on the front camera.
Processor and Performance
Tecno Spark 8 Pro features a MediaTek Helio G85 processor based on a 12 Nm processor. For a more convenient understanding, it is equivalent to the Snapdragon 730G variant. The CPU runs on an Octa-core setup with a 2 2.0 GHz Cortex A-75 processor and 6 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 processor. The octa-core design with two intensive cores makes the device good enough to run day-to-day tasks smoothly.
The GPU is the Mali-G52 MC2. The GPU is good enough for gaming on a budget. It can run some intensive games like Asphalt and PUBG pretty well. Though the phone gets hot after a bit of heavy use.

The phone comes with a 64 GB internal ROM as well as 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage might feel low by 2021 standards. But the added SD card slot makes life easier.
The phone is well covered on the connectivity front. It features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and dual-band WLAN. There are two sim slots with one featuring a micro sim. However, there is no NFC or infrared port on this device.
Battery and Charge Time
The phone features a non-removable 5000 mAh Li-Po battery. Tecno has been pushing out 5000 mAh battery constantly on their devices which makes them a reliable choice for long battery life. The mid-range processor isn’t power-hungry at all. It is possible to stretch the battery life up to two days with moderate usage. Tecno claims the battery has a standby time of 120 hours with 35 hours of talk time and up to 15 hours of continuous video playback.

The phone also features a 33W fast charging option which can charge the device from zero to 100% in one and a half hours.
Price of Tecno Spark 8 Pro in Bangladesh
Tecno has official retailers in Bangladesh and the phones are sold officially as well. The retail price of the phone is 16,990 BDT.
Verdict
The Tecno Spark 8 pro is a budget offering that ticks a lot of the boxes. It features a premium design with a durable build. The screen is one of the best in this price range and the processor is good enough for day-to-day tasks. It can even handle casual gaming pretty well. The battery is its strong forte as usual. However, Tecno could have done better with their camera module but at this price range, there is not much to complain about. Overall, this can be a great phone for heavy users who do not prioritize the camera much.

Tecno Spark 7 review: The entry-level gaming phone of 2021
Over the past few years, Tecno has grabbed the attention of mass smartphone users. The company has made quite a splash among the community of smartphone lovers by providing budget-friendly handsets. With the same goal, it has added a new handset Tecno Spark 7, to its profile. This latest model has come to light on the 16th of April of 2021. Tecno has made the phone super budget tight. That’s why people have become interested in the model. This Tecno Spark 7 has laid full details about the features of the phone. Read along if you are also interested.
Tecno Spark 7 Review
Design
Those who are already familiar with the iconic design of Tecno phones will find the apple not far from the tree. Because there is almost nothing new with the latest phone’s design. Tecno has used three colors, Spruce Green, Morpheus Blue, and Magnet Black. None of them are truly new, as the past few phones have come in the same colors.
The phone is 6.49” in height which is pretty average for the current trend. The rear side of this latest release has implemented a dual-camera panel and a fingerprint sensor. The rear cover has a matte finish with a plain texture that has made it less sensitive to finger stains and scratches.
There is no major difference in the placement of volume rockers, charging port, and the sim-card tray. The only displacement is the loudspeaker, for which Tecno has used the primary earpiece used for calls. This is without argument a design hole for the phone.

Display
A 6.5” HD Plus IPS display has been used, which has a 20:9 ratio. The refresh rate is sufficient enough to give users a smooth touch maneuver. The display can reflect high contrast colors with adequate precision. Video-and-picture qualities don’t derail much from the original source. Overall, users won’t find anything disheartening when it comes to the display of Tecno Spark 7.
But like the spot in the moon, the brightness of the display appears lower. In broad daylight, it will be a hassle to operate the phone as the display becomes darker.
Lenses and Captures
The primary camera at the rear implements a dual-camera setup. It has a 16MP main and a 5MP assisting lens. Combined, they take good-quality pictures. Wide-angle pictures bloom all major details without compromising contrast, or hues. Low-distance shots fall a bit from the standard. But it still better than other same-priced phones.
The secondary camera is an 8MP lens which is above the expected level for a phone with such little price. Additionally, the camera takes good portrait shots.
In low light, all lenses create some noises, and pictures look less straight. Led flash on both sides doesn’t come to much help to remove those noises. To get the best quality, pictures must be taken in bright places.

Performance
A MediaTek Helio G70 processor might not sound new for regular smartphone users as many mid-range phones have used it. But it would come as a surprise to many to get it within a small ranged phone like it. Working along with a 4GB RAM and Mali G52 GPU, the octa-core processor is invincible among the similarly priced phones.
Though running games with higher graphics is still not a good idea, game lovers can still play them if lowering the resolution is an option. Regular works like multi-tasking, installing apps, switching between apps, browsing will give no lag. Apart from them, low-config games run without making a mentionable disturbance. The phone has overcome the limitation of a low-range phone with its robust performance features.

Battery and Charging
One of the mightiest points for the phone is undoubtedly its battery. Tecno has installed a huge 6000mAh super-power battery. For the price range, the handset has come in, this battery capacity is unjustifiably large. With regular use, people can have a maximum of more than two days of energy support. In contrast, heavy users can easily run the phone for one and a half days.
In terms of charging options, there are two despairing downfalls for the smartphone. Tecno should have considered installing a Type-C charging port instead of the micro-charging port. Giving a Type-C port is not a big deal for smartphone companies nowadays. Another feeble feature of the phone is its 10W charger. It takes around 4 hours to charge the phone to the fullest. For even a tight budget, the handset could do better.

Price in Bangladesh
There is only one variant of Tecno Spark 7 has been made available in Bangladesh. It has 4 GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. For such spacious storage and attractive RAM capacity, Spark 7 is charging only BDT 11,999. Though it aimed to be a mid-ranged handpiece, eventually, it has come into the light as a considerable low-budget phone with features beyond expectation.
Final Verdict
Holistically, Tecno Spark 7 is a must but for those who are looking for a low-range phone. Comparatively, the phone is offering more robustness and capacity within the projected budget. The camera quality, processor, RAM, battery capacity, and display are all competitive with mid-range phones. So, these features are the strongest features of the phone. Whereas the placement of the loudspeaker and a minimum paced charging system are the only slippages from the quality. Altogether, anyone with a tight budget will be satisfied after purchasing the phone.
