Bangladesh Air Force Chief in KSA
Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Sunday for an official visit along with his spouse on an invitation of Commander of Royal Saudi Air Force Lieutenant General Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz.During the visit, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will make a courtesy call with Chief of General Staff General Fayiadh Bin Ha’med Al-Ruwaily and HH Commander of Royal Saudi Air Force Lieutenant General Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz and exchange views on bilateral issues of mutual interests, said the Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) in a press release on Monday.

He will also visit various aviation institutions and installations including King Abdullah Air Base.It is expected that the visit of the Chief of Air Staff will play a vital role in creating opportunities to strengthen the relationship between the two nations, it said.

Air chief returns home from UK
Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, chief of air staff of Bangladesh Air Force, returned home Wednesday from an official visit to the UK.
Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan's visit is expected to strengthen the Bangladesh-UK ties and enhance the scope of cooperation in the professional sectors.
The chief of air staff left Dhaka for the UK on a seven-day official visit at the invitation of Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, chief of the air staff of the Royal Air Force, according to the Inter Service Public Relation Directorate.

Air Chief Marshal Abdul Hannan visited the C-130 Hercules aircraft maintenance, modification and repairing organisation Marshall Aerospace Facility.
Also, he attended the Global Air Chiefs' Conference 2022 organised by the Royal Air Force in London. The conference included seminars on operational integration, technological adaptation, and digital skills.
After that, the chief of air staff attended the world's largest air show Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 at Royal Air Force Fairford.
Air Chief Marshal Abdul Hannan also attended the Farnborough International Airshow 2022 in London.

Air Chief back from Turkey
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan returned home on Friday from an official visit to Turkey.
The Chief of Air Staff left Dhaka for Turkey on May 14 along with spouse and two entourages at the invitation of Commander of the Turkish Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Hannan visited the mausoleum (Anitkabir) of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founding Father of Turkey, and paid homage by laying a floral wreath, according to an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) media release on Saturday.
He also called on General Hasan Küçükakyüz where they exchanged views on bilateral issues of mutual interests which will be beneficial for implementing future plans of BAF.
The Air Chief also visited different government and private military equipment production facilities including Turkish Aerospace Industries.
It is expected that the visit of the Chief of Air Staff will play a vital role for strengthening the existing cordial relationship with Turkey by expanding scope of mutual cooperation in the professional sectors.

BAF fully capable of protecting Bangladesh air space: Air Chief
Chief of Air Staff Shaikh Abdul Hannan on Monday said that Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is fully capable to protect the air space of the country.
The Air Chief Marshal said this after witnessing the ongoing Annual Exercise of Bangladesh Air Force named “WINTEX-2022” in BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram on Monday.
The 3-day long Annual Exercise of Bangladesh Air Force named “WINTEX-2022”, which began on Sunday, is continuing in full swing.
The main objective of “WINTEX-2022” is to assess BAF present capability and also to identify different weaknesses to improve further through evaluation of tactics and acquisition of assets. Overall, this exercise is surely going to expand BAF capability to safeguard our national airspace in coming days.
The Air Chief also visited BAF Base Bangabandhu in Dhaka and Base Sheikh Hasina in Cox’s Bazar on the same day on Monday to witness the exercise.

After witnessing the exercise in Chattogram, Chief of Air Staff also said that after learning from this exercise our pilots would attain more efficiency in their profession, says a press release of Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR).
As part of the exercise, BAF pilots are conducting various types of mission with fighter, transport & helicopters following air combat tactics and procedures since 6 March (Sunday).
All such mission includes Combat Air Patrol (CAP), ground attack, troops & logistic transportation, tactical reconnaissance, Combat Search & Rescue (CSAR) and Combat Air Support (CAS) for own land & maritime forces.
The exercise mission and activities are carried out all over Bangladesh airspace from six major BAF bases and its different units located at Shamsernagar, Tangail, Sudharampur, Lalmonirhat, Rasulpur, Bogra, Barisal.

Apart from different aircraft and helicopters, all BAF personnel along with Air Defence Radar, Surface to Air Missile (SAM) units are also taking part in this exercise.

Air chief adorned with new rank badge
Chief of Air Staffl Sheikh Abdul Hannan was adorned with the new rank badge of Air Marshal on Sunday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina witnessed the new rank badge-adorning ceremony that took place at her official residence Ganobhaban.
