The fresh cases of Covid-19 and deaths caused by the deadly virus marked a rise in Bangladesh as the country’s health authorities recorded 16 more deaths and 443 new cases in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

Though the Covid-19 pandemic looks to have become under control in Bangladesh with the weather getting warmer, experts think there is no room for complacency as this deadly virus may remerge any time with any new strain.

 

Bangladesh is seeing a sharp decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases over the past week.

Bangladesh recorded 25 more Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning, taking the national fatality tally to 7,781.

The Covid-19 death toll in Bangladesh rose to 7,626, raising the mortality rate to 1.48 percent.
