Indian lawmaker and senior member of the Congress Party Shashi Tharoor thanked a young Bangladeshi couple for helping him get a cab from outside the British Library in London ending his 45-minute wait.
In a tweet on June 12, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “Waited 45 minutes outside @britishlibrary for a cab as Saturday-night traffic whizzed by. A helpful young Bangladeshi couple, out celebrating their first wedding anniversary, stopped by for a pic & solved my problem by summoning an @Uber. Thanks Irfat & Azmain!

Born in London, UK, and raised in India, Tharoor worked across the world, graduating from St. Stephen's College, Delhi in 1975 and culminated his studies in 1978 with a doctorate in International Relations and Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
He was formerly Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and ran for the post of Secretary-General in 2006.
