Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed on Wednesday called upon the police members to perform their duties with new impetus after the Eid celebrations. The IGP made the call while exchanging Eid greetings with police officers, members and civil staff working at the police headquarters on Wednesday. Issuing a warning to police members, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam said action will be taken against them  if their link with criminals is detected .

Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary on Tuesday urged the police members to be the police of the people by providing services to the people and gaining their confidence.
