Man, woman on motorbike killed in Tangail road crash
A man and a woman were killed as an unidentified vehicle hit the motorcycle they were on Dhaka-Bangabandhu bridge highway in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Sunday night.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, except that one of them was a male and the other a female.

The accident occurred around 8pm when the vehicle hit the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on the highway in the Analiabari area, leaving the duo dead on the spot, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station.
The victims might have been a couple who were headed towards North Bengal, added the OC.

4 killed, 15 injured in Tangail road crash
At least four people were killed and more than 15 others injured when a commuter bus crashed into a truck parked along the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur upazila early Saturday, police said.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Molla Tutul, officer-in-charge of Gorai Highway Police Station, said the accident occurred around 4.30am when the ‘Binimoy Paribahan’ bus hit the stationary sand-laden truck from behind in the Dulla Mansur area.

"The impact left three passengers dead on the spot and 16 others injured. The injured were rushed to a local hospital where one of them was declared dead on arrival," he added.

Tangail road crash kills three
Three people were killed and one was injured in a collision involving three vehicles on the Dhaka-Bangabandhu Bridge highway at Kalihati in Tangail on Friday morning.
Witnesses said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound covered-van collided head-on with a truck and then a Jamalpur-bound bus crashed into them on the highway around 10:30 am, leaving one dead on spot and three others injured.

Later, the three injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital in a critical condition where two others succumbed to their injuries.
SI Nazmul Islam of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police said the injured was undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Six killed in Tangail road crash
Six people were killed in a road accident in Hossain market Bottola area in Mirzapur upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Sunam Uddin, 60, his grandson Mashraf Islam, 10, Hridoy Hossain, 20, Hafiz Uddin, 60, his daughter Renu Aktar, 25, and auto-rickshaw driver Jakir Hossain, 35.
Sub-inspector Rafikul Islam, in-charge of Dewhata Police out-post said when a Sakhipur-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw overturned on the road after being hit by a Goran-bound private car a sand-laden truck rammed it, killing three of its passengers on the spot.
Two injured passengers and the auto-rickshaw driver succumbed to their injuries at Kumudini Women's Medical College Hospital, he said.
Police seized the private car and the truck but their drivers managed to flee, said the SI.

3 of a family killed in Tangail road crash
Three members of a family were killed and five others injured when a microbus hit a covered van at Golchattar on Bangabandhu Bridge in Bhuapurupazila on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Karim Sarkar, 60, his wife Matoa Begum, 50 and their daughter Kanij Fatema, 30 of Shahednagar village in Sadar upazila of Sirajganj district.
