Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) on Tuesday organized a seminar titled 'Bangabandhu and Bangladesh' marking the 47th Death Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The event was presided by Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury while Director Kh. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed was present, according to a press release. Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique discussed as key speaker on the occasion. Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited signed an agreement with Padma Diagnostic Centre Ltd on Sunday. Md Shafiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank and Md Kaiyum Khan, Director of Padma Diagnostic Centre Ltd exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, said a media release. Al Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) has been recognised as one of the most sustainable banks in the country in the top 10 list of the "Sustainability Rating 2020" of the Bangladesh Bank. Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir handed over a crest and certificate to AIBL Deputy Managing Director SM Jaffar at the central bank headquarters on June 30. Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd (AIBL) has donated Tk10 crore to Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund for the flood-affected people. Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu, executive committee chairman of AIBL, handed over a cheque to Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the prime minister, at the Prime Minister's Office Monday.
