Domestic help dies after falling off building in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi
A 25-year-old domestic help died after falling off the fifth floor of a building in the city’s Dhanmondi area early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nasrin, hailed from Bhola.

Muhit Khan, sub-inspector of Dhanmondi Police Station, said Nasrin had been working at the house as a domestic help for six years.

On information, police recovered the body of Nasrin around 3 am and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police are investigating whether the girl committed suicide or it was an accident, said the SI.

Domestic help falls to her death in Kafrul
A domestic help fell to her death from a seven-storey building in Dhaka’s Kafrul area on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Tania, 20, daughter of Shamsul Haque from Chattogram’s Ramgarh area.
According to Hasanuzzaman Reza, the girl’s employer, Tania had been working at his house for a very long time.
“Tania had some mental issues, but I’m not sure whether she has committed suicide or not,” said Reza.

Bacchu Mia, In-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said that Tania was brought to the hospital in a critically injured condition, where the on-duty doctors declared her dead at about 8:15pm.
“The body has been kept at the hospital’s morgue. Kafrul police station has also been informed about the matter. Police is quizzing an individual over the incident,” said Bacchu.

Couple arrested for allegedly killing domestic help in city’s Niketon
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has arrested a couple from the city’s Niketon area in connection with alleged killing of their housemaid and dumping the body in shrubs at Diabari.
A PBI press release identified the arrestees as Syed Jasimul Hasan, 63, and his wife Syed Samina Hasan, 60.
Turag police discovery of the body of an unidentified 30-year-old woman from Diabari Jhaubon area on Friday led to the arrested couple.

An investigation by a PBI team led by SP Md Jahangir Alam identified the body as Parvin alias Fensi Ara, who worked at the flat of Syed Jasimul Hasan in Niketon.
On Saturday, the PBI arrested the couple.
During primary interrogation, the couple confessed that the woman died after Samina Hasan beat her with a stick following an altercation on December 1.

Jasimul and Samina along with driver Ramjan Ali, 41, dumped Fensy’s body in the Jhaubon area in Diabari.
Police also recovered a private car, a stick and a bed sheet from the spot.
A case has been filed in this regard, the release added.
