Symphony Innova 30 Review: Budget-friendly, Powerful Camera Phone
Symphony Mobile’s latest addition, Innova 30, hit the market on 18th March 2024. The phone has struck smartphone aficionados with awe, unboxing powerful features and a premium look within an unbelievably budget-friendly price. As an expected consequence, doubt about the efficiency of these features has arisen. Is the phone keeping its promises? Let’s look at the features, pros, cons, and price of Symphony Innova 30 in Bangladesh.
Key Specs and Features of Symphony Innova 30
Design
For the look, Symphony Innova 30 has used a fairly trendy design with a 164.27 mm by 76 mm by 8.45mm flat, glossy body, rounded on the corners. A regular camera panel has protruded on the back to room three circular lenses and a flashlight, which has been a general trend for camera modules nowadays.
The back gives the feel of a glass-made frame and glows with a gradient multi-color shade when light falls on it from a certain angle. A plain, black logo of the brand name appears on the lower back.

For the body material, Symphony has used reusable plastic, which has been renovated to look like a metal frame. The phone weighs 193g and may feel heavier than what is expected from a plastic frame body.
All the necessary buttons and ports are available. The SIM tray located on the left can house two nano SIMs and a microSD data card. The power button, located on the right, just beneath the volume rockers, has embodied a fingerprint sensor.
The phone's overall look offers nothing unique but a market-norm figure, most probably in an attempt to play safe, as the design has already been a hit among smartphone lovers.
Symphony Innova 30 has three explicit color variants- Reflective Green, Mirror White, and Space Green.

Display
A 6.56” IPS HD+ screen is laid on the front to display Symphony Innova 30. With a pixel density of 269, the display emanates not only vivid but also colorful pictures, supporting around 16M colors. The display features Incell technology, which is integrated with multi-touch functionality. Maintaining an aspect ratio of 20.15:9, the display appears sufficient for giving a complete video-watching experience. It supports a maximum of 1612 by 720p resolution.
The display covers the whole front side of the phone, surrounded by linear chins and bezels. The thickness of these two properties is astoundingly thinner compared to other smartphones around the same budget range. The display also rooms a punch-hole front camera at its top center area.
Cameras
Symphony has put tremendous effort into providing high-end technology and hardware in the minimum possible budget with the Innova 30. But the phone manufacturing has outdone every other brand and model with the camera section of this phone.

Symphony Helio 80 Review: Is the hype justified?
Symphony Mobile, a distinguished brand under the EDISON Group, stands as a relentless leader in the competitive mobile handset industry of Bangladesh, consistently setting a formidable pace. The brand's latest offering, the Symphony Helio 80, made its debut in the market on September 12, 2023. Boasting exceptional design, display and camera configurations, this smartphone has swiftly captured the spotlight. Let’s take a look into the key specs, pros, cons and price of Symphony Helio 80 in Bangladesh.
Key Features of Symphony Helio 80
Design
The design of the Symphony Helio 80 is based on elegant minimalism, predominantly featuring a single captivating color known as "honeydew green." While the possibility of additional color variants like black and white remains on the horizon, the current offering centers around this exquisite hue.
This smartphone exhibits a slim 163.8 mm by 76.3 mm by 7.96 mm body dimension, making it capable of being held and carried. Weighing in at a reasonable 188 grams, the device has a balanced equilibrium in terms of portability and substance.
Read more: OPPO A58 Review: Is this budget-friendly phone good for photos?
Examining its construction, the rear panel of the Symphony Helio 80 is crafted from glass, while the front proudly showcases a 5th generation Gorilla Glass, ensuring durability and a premium feel. However, it is worth noting that the absence of splash-resistant capabilities is a notable omission, considering that some competing phones in this price range offer this valuable feature.
Display
The Symphony Helio 80 boasts an impressive 6.7-inch Full HD+ display, complemented by a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and the brilliance of AMOLED technology, along with the convenience of an always-on feature. The display's color accuracy stands out as excellent, delivering vibrant and true-to-life visuals that captivate the eye.
However, it's worth noting that the absence of Widevine L1 support means that users won't experience the maximum pixel quality in streaming content, as it holds Widevine L3 certification instead. Despite this limitation, the display maintains a crisp and comforting visual experience that leaves little room for complaints.

The screen performs average under most lighting conditions. However, users might find it challenging to view the display in direct sunlight due to its lower maximum brightness, which stands as a notable drawback of the phone. It's important to mention that this limitation doesn't extend to issues with lower brightness when using the phone's camera function.
Cameras
The Symphony Helio 80 boasts an impressive 108-megapixel rear camera with a 2MP macro & 0.08MP portrait lenses, and they certainly live up to expectations. The cameras deliver crystal-clear, sharp images with exceptional detail, precise focus, and accurate color reproduction. This is a noteworthy achievement in the realm of budget-friendly smartphones, as it rivals the performance of many mid-range cameras.
Additionally, the device offers the capability to record videos in up to 2K resolution, along with video stabilization that ensures smooth footage at 1080p@30fps, further enhancing its appeal for photography and videography enthusiasts.

On the front, the phone features a 16-megapixel camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture, delivering more than satisfactory results. Skin tones appear natural without an overly aggressive softening effect. The camera captures fine details and presents pleasing colors, making it suitable for capturing high-quality selfies.
Furthermore, the front camera supports video recording at up to 2K resolution, providing users with flexibility and versatility for their content creation needs.

Symphony Z47 Review: 90Hz Refresh Rate on a Budget Device
Symphony Mobile is one of the pioneer phone manufacturing brands in Bangladesh. The company started its journey back in 2008 by rebranding Chinese handsets. Symphony ventured into the Android smartphone market in 2012. Since 2018, the company has been assembling the devices right here in Bangladesh.
In its illustrious decade-long history in the industry, the company kept stride in providing affordable smartphones to the masses. In that commitment, the company launched its newest offering, the Symphony Z47, on 15 November 2022. Here’s our detailed take on the device.
Key Specifications of Symphony Z47
Before getting into the details, it is important to note that being a local company, Symphony has always undercut the competition in price. The story is somewhat true for the Z47 as well.
Design and Build Quality
Now moving on to the build quality of the display, users will be getting an all-plastic build device with a glass front. The design element falls in line with other launches from Symphony. With the squared-off edges, square camera housing, and a thick water drop notch display, the device is a typical Symphony in every aspect. However, it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Read More: DT8 Ultra Review: Does it clone Apple Watch Ultra?
Even though the device is made of plastic, it feels very durable in hand. The back part is made of glossy plastic, which gives it a distinct glass look, albeit making it a fingerprint magnet.
Ports and button choices are all standards for a budget smartphone. However, the volume rocker felt to be a bit higher than it should be. Other than that, the Type C port, headphone jack, and dual sim slot with micro SDXC support make for a complete package.
Overall, the design can be called generic at best. But the build quality is pretty good for the price it comes at. Now let's look at some of its other features.

The Display
A first look at the 6.6-inch display of the Z47 won’t excite any excitement. The thick bezels and an IPS LCD INCELL HD+ display might sound about right for its price. It sports a resolution of 720 by 1600 pixels.
What makes this display an uncontested winner in its category is the 90 Hz refresh rate. In a sub 12K budget, Symphony somehow brought a 90 Hz refresh rate to the masses. It is a game changer, considering how smooth the OS and general usage feels. It makes for a pleasing experience scrolling through stuff and provides a snappier feel.
The color metrics of the display are also satisfactory. The colors looked sharp with a hint of a warm tone. There is no visible color shift at angles. There is no dedicated HBM on the Z47, as expected, but the display gets relatively bright in outdoor usage.

The Camera
Symphony also made some notable changes in the camera department. From the outside, the device comes with three sensors on the back. But the main 52 MP sensor does all the work. It's obvious that the accompanying sensors are there just for marketing, as Symphony didn’t provide detailed specs on them.
But the Samsung sensor-built main rear camera is no slouch. In our test, it was able to take pretty accurate and color-correct shots on outdoors. The sensor can pick up high details and preserve the dynamic range. The only gripe with the outdoor shots is that the contrast could’ve been a bit better, as sometimes pictures look soft, even in well-lit environments.
The camera faces similar issues in the darker environment as well. For a 52 MP shooter, the low-light photos were a bit disappointing. The exposure worked well at times but also failed miserably at others.

The front camera is your generic 8 MP shooter. It’s good enough for the occasional casual selfies.
The camera features include Burst, AI, HDR, Portrait Mode, Night Mode, Enhance lowlight photo, Slow-Motion, Panorama, Pro mode, Qr Code, Audio Note, Face beauty, Watermark, and Time laps.
The videography is limited to 1080P at 30 fps. It isn’t really that good, considering there are no external or internal stabilization options.
In summary, the camera experience differs from the display experience, but the results are passable for casual shots and social media posting.

Processor and Performance
The Symphony Z47 comes equipped with a Unisoc Tiger T606 processor. The choice of Unisoc is completely understandable as they have become the go-to option for ultra-budget smartphones.
The processor is a 12nm one based on a cortex-A75 chip. Users will also be getting 650 MHz speed GPU along with the processor.
So how does it perform overall? While the processing power isn’t exactly promising, it does fairly well in day-to-day use. If you use this device for media consumption and occasional browsing, the device won’t have any problem keeping up.

We even tried a few high-end gaming titles like Asphalt 9 and COD, and needless to say, they were almost unplayable in the highest graphics settings. If you bring it down to mid or low, you might be able to have a go at them. Even then, the low GPU unit causes the device to heat up drastically.
The saving grace for the processor is the high refresh rate display. It evens out the lags and frame drops and provides a uniform experience.
It has 4GB RAM combined with 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB.

Battery and Charge Time
The Symphony Z47 comes equipped with a 5030 mAh battery. The battery can last about 6 to 8 hours of continuous usage. Unfortunately, the device has no fast charging, so users must settle for long charging hours.
Price of Symphony Z47 in Bangladesh
The Symphony Z47 comes in a single configuration of a 4/64 GB variant. The price of the device is 11,499 BDT excluding VAT.
Verdict
Symphony has always been one of the prominent brands in the ultra-budget smartphone market in Bangladesh. Over the years, the market got saturated in low price points with repetitive design and specs. So it's refreshing to see Symphony bringing changes with its high refresh rate display.

As for the camera, the 52 MP sensor sounds good on paper but fails to deliver in actual usage. The rest of the specs are on par with the price.
There might be a few minor aspects that could be better, but it's mostly a bang-for-buck device, especially if you consider the price. To wrap things up, who is this for? The Z47 is best suited for people looking for a practical smartphone on an affordable budget. As a daily driver, the Symphony Z47 can be an excellent choice in its price category.

Symphony Z42 Review: Affordable Phone from Local Market
Symphony is one of the more prominent local smartphone brands in Bangladesh. The company started its journey back in 2008 when it used to sell rebranded Chinese feature phones in the local market. Over the years, the company moved to assemble and produce parts for their smartphones in Bangladesh as well. The Z series from Symphony are their prominent entry-level devices. The series gained popularity because of the performance it offered for the price. The latest from the series, the Symphony Z42 also promises similar capabilities. But does it deliver? Let’s find out.
Key Features of Symphony Z42
Before getting into the details of the device, users should keep in mind that the Z series, including the Z42, offer affordable devices. They undercut their competitors by quite a margin in terms of price alone. As a result, there are a lot of cut corners in almost every aspect of the device. The specs and the details should be considered in ratio to the price, not what is expected by the 2022 standard.
Design and Build Quality
Now moving on to the design, the first thing that strikes is the similarity Z42 shares with the iPhone 13 series. It is almost as if a budget iPhone met with cheap components and an android platform.
Read OnePlus Nord 2T: Leaks, Rumours, Probable Release Date
The same boxy design along with the triangular triple camera is present here. The entire device is made of plastic with the front being a glass panel. The build quality isn’t really a strong forte of the Z42. The device does look more premium than it is thanks to the design but the build quality is definitely a letdown.
The usual port selection is all here. The volume rocker and the power button are on the right here. The left features the sim port along with a dedicated microSD slot. The fingerprint scanner is situated on the back at the fingertip resting position. Physical fingerprints are slowly disappearing as most devices these days come with either the in-display scanner or the power button integrated. But because of the pricing constraints, the choice is understandable.
The 3.5 mm headphone jack is present as usual. The single firing bottom speaker is average at best. The sound distorts with a lot of grains in high volume. The Type-C port is a welcome addition here.
Read Power Bank Buyer guide with Price Ranges in Bangladesh
Overall, the design and build quality is representative of the budget category. So users will be getting what they are paying for, nothing more, nothing less.
Display
The phone does well in the display department. And by well, we mean it's a relatively good panel for the price. The 6.52-inch IPS LCD capacitive display has an HD resolution. That brings the total pixel count to 229 ppi. The panel also supports up to 16.7 million colors.
The colors look sharp and vivid on the panel and the display also gets adequately bright for outdoor legibility. But the low pixel count means that the pixels are visible, only if you are looking hard for them.
Read Samsung Galaxy A13 4G Review: Does it live up to the hype?
The viewing angles are good as there aren't any visible color shifts or blue tints usually seen on capacitive panels. The display won’t rival the likes of AMOLED panels and in reality, it isn’t even trying to. It makes a space for itself given the performance against the budget.
Camera
The iPhone 13-looking camera module has three different sensors here. The main sensor is a 13 MP one with AI and UHD features. This is a usual 13 MP sensor we’ve seen for a few years now on lower-end devices.
The main sensor is the showrunner on the Z42 as the other two included lenses are basically useless. Symphony included two 0.8 MP macro and depth shooters on the Z42. It is often heard that megapixel count doesn’t matter when it comes to quality but 0.8 MP is way too small by 2022 standard. Needless to say, the performance of the lenses isn’t anything mentionable.
Read Oppo F21 Pro Review: Camera Phone Made in Bangladesh
The main sensor however does a decent job of capturing the details in bright sunlight. There isn’t much dynamic range even outdoors but that was sort of expected given the capabilities. Night photography has a lot of grain and the flash helps to ease out the noises to some extent. The front camera is a standard 8 MP one and it gets the job done by and large.
The videography of the main sensor is limited to 1080P at 30 fps. However, the quality isn’t on par with the standard videography of the competitors as there isn’t any stabilization included here.
Processor and Performance
The Symphony Z42 is powered by a UNISOC quad-core processor. The processor itself is built on the 12 Nm architecture with a max output of 1.8 GHz. The processor is coupled with IMG GE8300 GPU.
Read Vivo Y33s 4G Review: Do features accompany premium look?
Any seasoned tech person would understand that this is a very low-powered entry-level chipset. Will this processor be able to handle graphics-intensive games? Theoretically, yes. But given its computational power, there will be a lot of lags and frame drops, not to mention the heating of the device.
This processor is best suited for casual users. People who just browse social media or YouTube with light to moderate usage. The processor falls much short in performance but the only argument here is the price it comes at.
Battery and Charge Time
The Symphony Z42 has a 5000 mAh battery capacity. Given the processor and the display capacity, the battery should be good enough for 9 to 10 hours of continued usage. There isn’t any fast charging with the Z42 so expect long charging hours.

Symphony Z42 Official Price in Bangladesh
The official price of Symphony Z42 is 9,599 BDT. The phone is available in all official Symphony retail stores across Bangladesh.
Verdict
The Symphony Z42 follows the precedence of functional low-cost phones from the company. While the price is very affordable, the cost-cutting is apparent in the build quality and the camera. But the display and the battery life are more than enough to make up for the overall shortcomings. To sum things up, the Symphony’s latest Z series phone Z42 can be a great pick for people looking for a budget phone or a secondary device.

Symphony Z33 Review: Know the Pros and Cons
Symphony Z33 is an enhanced and improved addition to the Symphony’s Z series. It is the successor to the Symphony Z32. Symphony's latest innovation Z33 is released in 12 September, 2021 in Bangladesh. From the configuration to the price range of the latest phones tell that Symphony has kept on its fight to have its grasp over the minimum budget phones’ consumers. Coming in at the least price, Symphony Z33 has much to provide. Read this article to know the features, specs and price of Symphony Z33 in Bangladesh.
Symphony Z33 Full Review
Design
The Symphony Z33 has a standard design that lifts itself above and beyond its price point. The phone's 164.4 x 75.7 x 8.63mm dimension gives it a tab-like appearance. It weighs about 190g. Users may find it difficult to operate it with one hand.
The phone's overall design is appealing and functional. Users will not be able to complain about the look thanks to the vertical textured pattern on the back with a starry and glowing gradient effect. The subtle texture gives both a hand-feel with a good visual feel. It allows for a better grip on this massive phone while protecting the back from finger stains.
On the back of the phone, a dual-camera bump and a fingerprint sensor will be found. The sensor appears to be a bit lofty than average phones. So, reaching it with your fingers requires much effort. The volume controllers’ buttons and the power button are located on the phone's right side. The dual SIM card slot is on the left, while a loudspeaker and an audio jack on the bottom. Clearly, consumers will receive more than just the basics.

Symphony Z33 is available in several colors, like black, blue, green, and pink.
Display
It has a 6.52-inch Full HD, IPS display with a resolution of up to 1600*720. The size of its display is significantly higher than the price of many other entry-level phones. The phone's display has a good refresh rate, which adds to its toughness. That means users of the phone will have a positive experience with the touch response.
The brightness level is quite low which appears to be an issue. However, with a 263ppi color density on the display, the phone offers much promise in the picture quality segment. A teardrop lens housing can be found on the upper mid area of the display. In addition, users will find chins and bezels thinner. The display supports 16.7 million color systems and projects high resolution videos and pictures without hurdles.
Read Samsung Galaxy F22 Review: What does it Offer?
Cameras on the Back
The primary camera panel includes two cameras. The primary camera has a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The aperture is F/1.85. The images produced by these lenses are average, and nothing out of the ordinary will be produced by Symphony Z33 cameras.
The delivered images may appear to have a slightly warm tone. A certain amount of warm tone sometimes adds value to the overall look of the images, while other times it detracts from the ambiance. In low light, the contrast increases.
The primary camera duo comes with a lot of features like AI, Watermark, Portrait Mode, Night Mode, Insight Google lens, Motion, Enhanced lowlight photo, Slow-motion, QR Code, Face beauty, and HDR. Photos taken at night require extra care to achieve a high level of quality.
Read Xiaomi Redmi 10 Review: Advantages and Disadvantages
With the primary camera, users can record videos at 30 frames per second for a maximum resolution of 720p.
Secondary Camera
An 8MP selfie lens is housed in the front teardrop holder. Given the current trend in other low-cost phones, the Symphony Z33 has included the maximum capacity lens for a front facing camera. The front lens simply boosts the brightness of the image. This results in clear photos, but the image becomes smoother due to the lack of sharpness and details. Portrait mode photographs are of somewhat average quality and add nothing to the overall performance of the camera.
Performance, System and Graphics
The phone is powered by an octa-core 1.8GHZ 12 nm processor. This chipset is more likely to be found in low-range phones. Moreover, Symphony Z33 has a 680 MHz GPU installed to complement the processor. Combinedly, the phone provides regular performance and a low-level gameplay.
Read OPPO A16 Review with Price in Bangladesh
Symphony Z33 is blessed with 3GB RAM which out wins many competitor phones from other brands. And, the provided 32GB built-in memory is enough for regular operations. However, using a microSD card, the storage capacity can be enhanced up to 128GB.
Users will find the overall gameplay quite poor because the phone lags while running high- or mid resolution games like PUBG, Call of Duty, or Asphalt. Gamers should avoid playing such games because it can put strain on the processor. When it comes to the operating system, the Symphony Z33 runs on Android 11. So, it will smooth out some tasks and provide a better experience.
Battery and Charging
This brings us to another of Symphony Z33's strong points. It has a 5000 mAh battery. It can keep the Symphony Z33 running for up to two days on a single charge for a regular user. With long hours of gaming and video watching, users can run the phone for at least a single day.
Read Best Upcoming Phones in September 2021 in Bangladesh - Official and Unofficial
The phone comes with a charger in the box. The charger takes a fair amount of time to raise the battery level once the phone is plugged.
Price of Symphony Z33 in Bangladesh
There is only one version of the Symphony Z33 available in the market. It comes with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM capacity. Users will have to pay BDT 8,790 to get the phone.
Conclusion
The market for low-cost phones has become one of the most competitive one. It's difficult to raise one's head in such a crowd. The Symphony Z33 has made an effort with its ideal design, large display, powerful RAM, and standard battery. When compared to the price, all of the other deficiencies do not appear to be issued. People seeking an entry level budget phone under BDT 10,000 with the capacity of handling regular tasks can choose the phone without thinking much.

Display
A 6.52-inch display has been installed in Atom 2, which features an HD+ resolution of 1600 ×720 pixels. Apart from it, the brightness level has been kept 269nits for the phone. Cameras
There is a dual-camera panel on the back of the Symphony Atom 2. The panel rooms an 8 MP primary camera along with a 0.8MP assisting lens. All the essential features are included with both cameras. The front-facing camera, which is also an 8MP lens, can capture a clear portrait in adequate sunlight. Regardless of some issues like washed-out pictures, over-exposing effects, or some extra noises, Atom-II’s pictures will still satisfy the users. Because the Symphony Atom 2 cameras still exceed the expectation level for such a low-priced phone.
Features like night mode, HDR, panorama, burst, time-lapse, AI scene recognition, display flash, and composition line are associated with the cameras.
You can capture videos at 1080p resolution and a maximum of 30 frames per second. Lack of stability mode can leave a shaky vibes in the captured video clips.

Performance
The Symphony Atom 2 is not a gaming device. Though the low specs Android games might run without showing any issues, the high specs games like Call of Duty, PUBG, or Asphalt are totally unplayable in this device. However, playing mid-level games like Free Fire could be a fair possibility.
No way to blame the phone or the manufactured company for the incapability of Atom 2 to run high-level games. Anyone can say it has tried its best to introduce power. An octa-core UNISOC SC9863A chipset with 1.6GHz clock power is the best one can get from a phone with such minimal price. To give it more power, an IMG GE8322 GUI has been installed. So, graphical decoding doesn’t fall to the standard level.
Atom 2 runs by Android 10’s GO Edition which is quite user-friendly. It has some bloat-wares, which can be uninstalled easily.

However, this phone is provided with 2GB RAM supported by 32 GB internal storage. This configuration seems might quite inadequate in today’s world. However, using an external memory card you can enhance the memory up to 128GB. Keep the storage free to get better functionality from this device.
Apart from these, app installation, multitasking, internet browsing, and other activities seem seamless. For sensors, the phone installs fingerprint, notification sensor light, face recognition, proximity, and accelerometer. It also has a GPS system.
Battery and Charging
A Li-po 4000mAh battery arrives with the Symphony Atom 2. As the phone doesn’t go well with high-resolution games, the battery is capable of supporting the phone for one to two days on average. With minimal use, users can even get more than one-day battery support. The battery is non-removable and provides 24-hour talk time coverage.
You will get a 7.5W charger with the phone. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery.

Symphony Atom 2 Price in Bangladesh
Symphony Mobile has made only one variant of Atom II available in Bangladesh. The variant is of 2GB RAM coupled with 32GB default storage. You can grab this phone by spending only BDT 7,790.
Final Verdict
The most vital selling point of Atom 2 is probably its highly affordable price. You can hardly find a mid-functioned Smartphone for much less than the price of this device. Symphony's take on Android 10 is also laudable.
The Symphony Atom 2 lacks sufficient RAM, some connectivity features, and its built-in specifications create a mediocre experience. So, in terms of this phone, it would be best to live with the essentials.
The Symphony Atom2 cameras will do and get you some average-quality photographs. But if you want singing and dancing photographs, you should look for the camera-centric phones spending a little more money.
Overall, by its budget and offered features, the new Symphony Atom 2 can be good pick for the senior citizens or an additional phone for the youths.
