Muggers snatch Tk 2.5 lakh after killing cattle trader in Bogura
Muggers snatched away Tk 2.5 lakh after killing a cattle trader at Shahpara in Sadar upazila on Wednesday night, victim’s family says.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak, 55, son of Nasir Uddin of the area.
Quoting family members, Nur Zahid Sarkar, Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, said Razzak went to Choumuhoni Bazar to sell cattle.
After selling cattle at the local bazaar, he offered Isha prayer at a mosque near the bazar.
At 9 pm, a group of muggers attacked Razzak, about 100 metres away from his house, while he was returning.

They stabbed Razzak indiscriminately and snatched away Tk 2.5 lakh, leaving him dead.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the local hospital morgue for autopsy.

Cattle trader shot dead ‘by BSF’ along Lalmonirhat border
A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead allegedly by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members along Burimari border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bipul Hossain 23, of the upazila.
According to locals, a group of cattle traders including Bipul tried to bring Indian cows through Patgram border in the early hours of Sunday.

Bipul sustained bullet when BSF opened fire at them, Omar Faruq, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patgram police station.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital, he added.

BSF kills Bangladeshi cattle trader in Chuadanga, says BGB
Indian border guards shot and killed a Bangladeshi man at Boldiya border in Damurhuda upazila of the Chuadanga district early Sunday.
The killing was confirmed by a Bangladesh Border Guard official.
The Bangladeshi man, said to be a cattle trader, was identified as Muntaj Hossain alias Jahangir, 32, from Boldiay School Para.

Lt Col Shah Mohammad Istiaq, director of BGB-6 battalion, said that the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) fired around 5am am when Muntaj went to India to bring cattle through border opposite the No 82 main pillar, leaving him dead on the spot.
He said the body is still on the Indian side of the border separated by barbed wire fence.
AHM Lutful Kabir, officer-in-charge of the area's Darshana police station, said they were aware of the matter, but have no details.

Police recover charred body of a cattle trader in Netrokona
Police have recovered the charred body of a cattle trader from Netrokona’s Kalmakanda.
The deceased was identified as Mujibur Rahman, 50, of Terotopa village.

The body was recovered by the pond near his house at Terotopa village in Rangchati union of the upazila on Wednesday morning.
Kalmakanda police officer in charge Abdul Ahad Khan said that the locals noticed a fire near the pond, about 200 yards away from Mujibur's house, around 11:30 pm on Tuesday. They found Mujibur's body with hands and legs.
He was believed to have murdered before the body was set on fire.
Ataur Rahman, elder brother of the deceased said that they had no clue about the murder.
The body was later sent to Netrokona Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The officer-in-charge of Kalmakanda police station said that it is initially believed that the miscreants had killed Mujibur and fled after setting his body on fire.
An investigation into the incident has begun but no arrests have been made yet, the OC said

Cattle trader refuses to pay protection money, shot dead in Feni
A cattle trader was shot dead allegedly by a local ward councillor for refusing to pay protection money in Feni's Sultanpur area on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Shahjalal, 27, son of Abdul Jabbar of Saguli village under Karimganj in Kishoreganj district.

Police said Shahjalal had parked a truck loaded with 15 cows in front of his house for sale. When local councillor Abul Kalam demanded protection money, he flatly refused to pay.
Later Abul and and three of his associates held Shahjalal hostage before allegedly killing him and dumping the body in a nearby pond.

Cops subsequently recovered the body and sent it to the Feni General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Feni Model Police Station Inspector Nizam Uddin said that they have launched a probe. "One person, named Sagar, has been arrested in connection with the murder," he said.

Cattle trader killed by BSF in Naogaon
A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Dakkhin Patari village along Adatala border in Sapahar upazila early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Bari Sahu, 45, son of Abu Bakkar of the village.
Abdul Hye, officer-in-charge of Sapahar Police Station, said the BSF members of Khutadah Camp opened fire at some Bangladeshi cattle traders including Abdul Bari when they went to the border area, leaving him injured.
Later, he was taken to Sapahar upazila Health Complex where he died later, said Adatala BGB camp Commanding officer Subedar Abdul Hannan.
