Mizanur becomes first centurion of Dhaka League T20
Mizanur Rahman of Brothers Union hit 65-ball 100 on Thursday against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and became the first batsman to score a century in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League at BKSP.
Sheikh Jamal won the toss and sent the Brothers bat first, who riding on Mizanur’s bat, scored 133 for two in 17 overs before the rain came and interrupted the game.

Along the way of hitting the first ton of the season, Mizanur hit 13 fours and three sixes.
The match never got a resumption due to rain and ended up with no result.
It was the 11th and last game of both teams in the initial round of the Dhaka League T20.

After all these rounds of games, Sheikh Jamal won six games and ensured a place in the Super League, the next phase of the league, which will be played between six teams.
Brothers, on the other hand, have won only four games and failed to secure a place in the Super League.
The match between Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club and OLD DOHS Sports Club also ended up with no result on Thursday morning, while the other match between Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity and Prime Bank Cricket Club was won by Prime Bank by five wickets under the DL Method.

All these teams— Prime Doleshwar, DOHS, Khelaghar and Prime Bank— have also completed all 11 rounds of games. Of them, Prime Bank and Prime Doleshwar have booked a place each in the Super League which will begin on Saturday.

Dhaka League goes live on TV
The Super League round of Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League will be telecast live through private tv channels-- GTV and T Sports, Kazi Inam Ahmed, chairman of the cricket committee of Dhaka metropolis, said on Tuesday.
Nine of the first 11 rounds have been completed. The 10th and 11th rounds will take place on June 16 and 17 respectively.

These rounds, a total of three matches will be played each day at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, while the other three will be played at BSKP.
The top six teams after the initial rounds will take part in the Super League where each team will take on others five times, and after this round, the team which will earn the highest points will lift the title.

“We are excited to share that the Super League matches of BDPDCL T20 will be telecast live jointly by T Sports and GTV. The league so far has produced some really exciting matches with all the national team stars participating in this league. I am sure the viewers will enjoy watching the Super League from their homes. All 6 teams will be playing every day in three matches, and all games will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium,” Kazi Inam quoted in a press release.
After the first nine rounds of the game, Prime Bank Cricket Club are now at the top of the table with 14 points from seven wins, while Abahani Limited also have the same amount of points, but they are slightly behind Prime Bank who have a better run rate.

Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Gazi Group Cricketers, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Brothers Union are the other teams in the top six of the table.
The other six teams are— Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, Shinepukur Cricket Club, OLD DOHS Sports Club, Legends of Rupganj and Partex Sporting Club.

Dhaka League T20: Khelaghar shock Abahani
Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity beat Abahani Limited by nine runs in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Divisions Twenty20 Cricket League on Monday at BKSP.
Imtiaz Hossain hit 66 off 46 balls with six fours and three sixes to guide Khelaghar to 164 for six in 20 overs. Kharghar had won the toss and opted to bat first.

To chase down the target of 165, Abahani needed to score 48 runs in the last five overs with six wickets in hand.
But one of the strongest teams in the league manage 39 runs and lost the game nine runs losing only one wicket off the last ball of the game.
Two of the last five overs bowled by Khaled Ahmed. He conceded only 12 runs and bagged the wicket of Mosaddek Hossain who was Abahani’s biggest hope to seal the game.
Along with Mosaddek, Afif Hossain was at the wicket in the death overs but failed to impress. Afif faced 16 of the last 30 balls and scored 21 runs while playing the other 14 balls, Mosaddek added 17 runs. Abahani managed only two fours and one six in the last five overs.
Mohammad Naim and Najmul Hossain Shanto were the best batsmen for Abahani in this game. Both of them scored 49 each but failed to continue on a good run. Mosaddek fell prey to Khaled off the last ball for 21 while Afif remained unbeaten for 22.

Eventually, Abahani ended up on 156 for six in 20 overs.
For Khelaghar, Rony Chowdhury and Khaled scalped two wickets each while Rafsan Al Mahamud bagged one.
Earlier, Imtiaz’s 66 guided Khelghar to 164 for six in 20 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the second-highest runs getter for Khelaghar scoring 33.
For Abahani, Arafat Sunny and Mosaddek took two wickets each.
It was the first defeat of Abahani in this league. Before this game, they were at the top of the table with three wins in three games.
In the other games on Monday morning, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by four wickets and Brothers Union beat Old DOHS Sports by four wickets.

Saif Hassan hit 50 for Doleshwar with three fours and four sixes to guide them to a comfortable victory while Farhad Reza also played a vital role hitting 27 off 11 balls with two fours and two sixes.
Myshukur Rahaman was the hero of Brothers, who hit 68 off 48 balls with four fours and as many sixes to help his team post a challenging total of 139 runs for five wickets. In reply, Anisul Islam Emon hit 64 for DOHS, but they fell short two runs, ending up on 137 for five in 20 overs.
