At least 10 injured falling off under-construction building rooftop in Savar
At least ten construction workers were injured after collapsing an under-construction building’s rooftop at Ashulia area of Savar Upazila on Friday.
The incident took place inside the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Research Center in Ganakbari area of Ashulia around 4 pm.
On information, Ashulia Fire Service Ashulia Police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.
Later, the injured were taken to different hospitals of Ashulia for treatment.
Kamruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Police Station, visited the spot and said that the matter will be investigated seriously.

Sixth-grader dies falling off rooftop while playing cricket in Lalbagh
A sixth-grader died after falling off the rooftop of the five-storey building while playing cricket in the Lalbagh area of the capital on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The 12-year-old Tusar Ahmed Kayes was the lone offspring of private jobholder Md Delwar Hossain and housewife Happy Akter.
Md Bachhu Mia, inspector of police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), said quoting one Md Liton, who brought the victim at hospital, Tusar fell off the ground while jumping into another roof from their rooftop to bring back the cricket ball in the afternoon in Boro Bhat Masjid area, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to the DMCH where physicians declared him dead around 5pm, he said, adding that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

5-year old boy dies falling from rooftop at Jatrabari
A 5-year-old boy died on Sunday after falling from the rooftop of a two storied building in the city's Jatrabari area.
The deceased was identified as Md Bappy, son of Md Swapan, a pickup van driver living Islamia General Hospital Lane at North Jatrabari.

Bappy’s mother Hosne Ara Begum said he went to play with the other children in the neighborhood and at around 2 pm she heard Bappy fell from the rooftop of a building.
He was first taken to local hospitals and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College hospital, where the duty doctor announced his death at 4 pm.
The body was sent for an autopsy, said Bacchu Mia, in charge inspector of DMCH police outpost.

Bangladesh’s single largest rooftop solar power plant inaugurated in Korean EPZ
The country’s single largest rooftop solar plant was inaugurated on Sunday at the privately owned Korean Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Anwara upazila of Chattagram.
The power plant, installed on the rooftop of the factories in the EPZ will generate 16 MW in the first phase while the total capacity of the plant will be 40 MW.
Inaugurating the plant, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said the government has been laying special emphasis on promotion of renewable energy across the country.
“We’ve set a target to generate 40 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2041”, he told the function.
