Motorola Moto G24 Power Review: A Competent Smartphone within BDT 13000
Motorola recently launched the successor to their highly popular Moto G23 series from last year. The new Moto G24 Power was officially launched on 7th February in India with subsequent global release. The G24 Power carries a lot of the DNA from the G23 with two key improvements that are sure to make it a hot deal in the budget-friendly segment. What are they? Let’s find out.
Key Specs of the Motorola Moto G24 Power
Design and Build Quality
As expected from a budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G24 Power is an all-plastic device. Even then, Motorola has tweaked the design a bit to give it a more premium look. The rectangular camera housing now merges with the back creating a flush design. The overall matte frosted finish also brings a minimal look to the G24 Power.
The dimension of the smartphone comes in at 163.49 mm by 74.53 mm by 8.99 mm with 197 g weight. Surprisingly, Motorola was able to keep the weight under 200 g considering the device boasts a 6000 mAh battery.

The usual ports and buttons are all present on the G24 Power. The power button itself now doubles as the fingerprint scanner. The 3.5 mm headphone jack has been placed on the top with a subtle Dolby Atmos branding beside it. The micro SDXC slot is present, this time securing a dedicated slot.
The G24 power comes in two colorways, Glacier Blue and Ink Blue. There’s no official rating but Motorola claims to have a “water-repellent design” on the G24 Power. However, users would be better off avoiding any water contact altogether.
The Display
The display on the Moto G24 Power is a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 537 nits of peak brightness. The resolution of the panel comes in at 720 x 1612 pixels with 269 ppi at 20:9 aspect ratio.
There’s a sizable bottom chin on the G24 Power which is understandable given the price point it comes at. It brings the overall screen-to-body ratio at 84.9% which is still better than most alternatives.

As for the performance, the G24 Power doesn’t let down. It has good contrast and viewing angles and the panel was able to consistently push 90 Hz in intensive use and general browsing. It's on par with its competitors like the Redmi 13C and the POCO C65. The only gripe is that the G23 had a Panda Glass protection which is unavailable on the G24 Power.
As an HD+ panel, the display won’t blow you away in any way, but considering its budget-friendly price tag, the room to complain is next to none.
The Camera
There’s a dual camera setup on the Moto G24 Power. The main sensor is a 50 MP f/1.8 aperture and 0.64µm module with quad pixel technology. The secondary sensor is a 2 MP f/2.4 macro shooter.
The front camera is a 16 MP f/2.5 sensor for the Indian version. Global users will be getting an 8 MP f/2.0 front shooter.

The camera performance on the G24 Power has been exceptionally good for its price. The quad-pixel technology brings better details, sharpness, and dynamic range to the images. The post-processing creates 12.5 MP images using the pixel binning method. Images taken in the daylight had a good contrast and exposure ratio. The outcome was similar on artificial light as well with slight overall softness in the pictures. The front camera was also able to capture great details in both outdoor and indoor lighting. In comparison to the other 50 MP sensors of the Redmi 13C, POCO C65, and Galaxy A15, the G24 Power easily comes out on top.
The videography on the G24 Power is limited to 1080P at 30 fps. It produces generic results with stabilization and exposure issues.
Processor and Performance
The processor on the G24 Power is MediaTek Helio G85 based on 12 Nm architecture. It has a chip design of 2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.7 GHz Cortex-A55 with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
The G85 is a basic entry-level processor at best. Coupled with the eMMC 5.1 slow storage type, the overall performance is slightly hampered even by the entry-level phone standards. The Antutu score comes in at 265219 with the Geekbench single-core score of 413 and a multi-core score of 1332.

3D titles like PUBG and Genshin Impact are barely playable on the G24 Power. The device also tends to heat up pretty fast in extensive use.
There’s an option to use up to 8 GB of virtual RAM on the G24 Power. However, the slow storage type negates the overall performance index of the device. In terms of comparison, the G85 on the G24 Power performs on par with the G85 of Redmi 13C, POCO C65, and even last year’s G23.
Software
The G24 Power is running on a custom skin by Motorola based on Android 14. The best thing about the skin is that it’s near-stock in UI. There’s also minimal bloatware which adds to the overall experience.
The G24 Power is expected to get another major OS update with up to 3 years of security updates.

Battery and Charge Time
After the camera, the battery is another key improvement on the G24 Power. It now comes with 6000 mAh with up to 30W fast charging capabilities. The charging brick on the box supports up to 33W fast charging.
Given the high battery capacity, expect to get around 7 to 8 hours of screen time from the G24 Power.

Motorola Moto G34 Review: A Budget-friendly 5G Phone with Powerful Processor
Motorola is one of the early pioneers of mobile communication. From wired telephones, cordless, and the legendary Razr flip phones to today’s smartphones, the brand has adapted well to the changing times and changing needs. Recently, the brand launched Moto G34 on 9th January in India and global markets. Here’s our take on Motorola’s latest offering.
Key Specs of Motorola Moto G34
Design and Build Quality: Frosted Design with Plastic Build
There isn’t much to rave about the design and build quality of budget-friendly smartphones. The G34 has a plastic build (3D PMMA) all around with a frosted finish on the back and the frame. The camera housing has a pillow-like shape with tapered rectangular sides. It might sound a little odd design-wise, but it seemingly blends with the overall minimalist approach.
The dimension of the device comes in at 162.7 mm by 74.6 mm by 8.0mm with a body weight of 180g.
The top frame has an etched Dolby Atmos logo referring to the collaboration. On the front, there’s a punch-hole display with a sizable bezel on the chin and the sides. But given the price, this is an acceptable design compromise.

The volume rocker and the power button which doubles as the fingerprint scanner is situated on the right. The 3.5 headphone jack is positioned at the bottom alongside the Type-C port. There’s also a micro SDXC slot for additional storage.
The G34 comes in three different colorways, ice blue, charcoal black, and ocean green (vegan leather back).
The Display: A standard HD+ LCD Display with a 120 Hz refresh rate
The G34 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Being a budget-friendly smartphone, the screen-to-body ratio comes in at 85% and the active area-touch panel comes in at 89%.
The resolution of the panel is 720 by 1600 pixels with 269 ppi and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display performance is satisfactory considering the price. It has good viewing angles and all the tests showed that it was able to maintain the 120 Hz fast refresh rate in different use cases.

The panel also has 500 nits of HBM. The display is usable in bright light but you’d have to squint your eyes under direct sunlight.
The Camera: A 50 MP Main and 2 MP Macro
The Moto G34 features a dual camera setup with the main camera being a 50 MP f/1.8 wide-angle shooter. The included secondary camera is a 2 MP f/2.4 macro shooter. In effect, the G34 is a single-shooter device relying on its primary camera. The smartphone also features a 16 MP f/2.4 wide-angle selfie camera.
Speaking of performance, the G34 produces passable results. Pictures came out decently in bright daylight with a decent dynamic range. The portrait mode of the main shooter was surprisingly good with great edge detection. However, the background blurring may seem a bit too blurred for many.
Pictures taken indoors had some softness issues. The night mode made things a bit better with its exposure and details but the overall softness remained. The same problem plagues the front camera as well where pictures even in daylight lack sharpness.

The videography on the G34 is rated at 1080p at 30fps. The lack of any OIS and EIS is felt in choppy video quality overall.
Processor and Performance: A Touch Above the Competition
One of the key highlights of the G34 is its processor. Motorola went with a Snapdragon 695 5G chip based on the 6 Nm architecture. By all means, the 695 5G can be considered as a proper mid-range processor. Using it on a budget-friendly smartphone like the G34 gives it the edge over its competitors.
The processor has a chip design of 2x2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6x1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver with Adreno 619 GPU.
The Snapdragon 695 scored up to 439099 on Antutu 10 and 908 (single core) and 2134 (multi core) on Geekbench 6. The benchmark scores reflect the performance capability of the G34.

On the test, the device was able to run all the leading titles like Genshin Impact, PUBG, and Asphalt 9 without any lag whatsoever. Sure enough, the processor didn’t maintain constant frame rates, but we didn’t see any noticeable frame drops. However, the device did get hot after 30-odd minutes of gaming but thankfully the processor didn’t throttle.
Needless to say, the device was an absolute breeze in day-to-day use. The high refresh rate display aided well in this regard.
Software: Android 14 with Useful Bloatware
The Moto G34 is running Motorola’s custom OS based on Android 14. Motorola guaranteed another OS update with up to 3 years of security patches. The OS itself isn’t too bloatware-heavy. The included ones are quite useful.
For example, the “Ready For” feature which is available with the highest variant (8/128 GB) seemingly preps the device for all sorts of connectivity from Bluetooth to even connecting with your PC.

Battery and Charge Time
The battery on the Moto G34 is 5000 mAh. The phone comes with a 20W charger on the box but the actual charging capacity is capped at 18W.

However, the Motorola Moto G34 5G’s 8/128 variant is available in Bangladesh at BDT 17000. The price may vary depending on the sellers.
Verdict
The Moto G34 offers 5G capabilities. The provision of the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset in this price range is praiseworthy. This device is also suitable for moderate-level gaming without significant heating issues. The users will enjoy its 120Hz refresh rate, 5000 mAh battery, and 50MP prime sensor.
Moto G34’s design, display, video capacity, and charging support can be a point of contention. However, its smooth experience with 5G speed overshadows the shortcomings. It can be a perfect daily driver that can easily handle whatever that’s thrown at it.
On the whole, the Motorola Moto G34 would be a perfect fit for those looking for a 5G phone with a powerful processor at an affordable price.

Motorola Moto G54 Review: Can It Hold the Legacy?
Motorola is a popular brand who manufacture stylish, quality, and feature-oriented smartphones under diverse price segments. The Motorola Moto G54 was released on September 6, 2023, in India, targeting the budget-friendly user segment. Motorola offers some premium features in this phone within budget. Can the Motorola Moto G54 carry on the reputation? Let’s find out.
Key Features and Specs of Moto G54
Design
The Moto G54 5G maintains a similar design to its predecessor, the G53 5G, but with slight size reductions, measuring 161.6 mm by 73.8 mm by 8mm and weighing 177g.
Available in Midnight Blue, Indigo Blue (vegan leather-backed), Glacier Blue, and Mint Green, it offers options for different preferences. Its physical features remain consistent, with ports at the bottom, a power button (with fingerprint reader), volume keys on the right, and a SIM tray on the left. It supports dual SIMs and a microSD card up to 1TB.
Its front is glass and the backside is made of plastic. The frame is also built with plastic. It lacks an official IP rating and boasts a "water-repellent" design.

The bezels surrounding the screen are slim. Despite its subdued appearance and lack of flashy elements, its refined design exudes sophistication and practicality, making it a reliable choice for professionals.
The phone is equipped with dual stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos. The Dolby Atmos logo signifies an equalisation app, though the built-in stereo speakers are more suitable for calls than music or videos. Nonetheless, with a headphone socket and Bluetooth 5.3, users can enjoy audio through external devices.
Display
The Moto G54 5G addresses the display shortcomings of its predecessor and offers a better display. With a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, its 6.5-inch screen delivers smooth visuals and remarkable colour accuracy, scoring just 1.09 on the Delta E variance scale.
While it's not OLED or AMOLED, its IPS LCD technology still impresses with crispness and sharpness. However, it falls short in brightness compared to some high-end phones, reaching around 500 nits.
Read more: vivo iQOO Z9 Review: A Budget-friendly Phone with Decent Features
Cameras
The Moto G54 5G features a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, similar to its predecessor, offering decent image quality with improved auto-enhancement processing for better balance between light and dark areas. However, night photography remains a challenge, with minimal artificial brightening and noticeable noise in low-light conditions.
The 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera delivers acceptable detail but may not always be the best option compared to using the main lens up close.
Video recording capabilities have been enhanced, now supporting 1080p at 60fps and featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) for smoother footage. Despite efforts to boost colours and sharpness, image quality may suffer in challenging lighting conditions, and the night mode doesn't provide significant improvements, especially for moving subjects.
The selfie camera 16 MP (f/2.4) performs reasonably well, producing decent shots in both regular and portrait modes, while video recording is capped at 1080p/30fps but remains suitable for everyday use, such as social media sharing and video calls.

Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra Review: Rebranded for New Market
Motorola Mobility, a Lenovo company, creates the Motorola Moto line of Android mobile handsets. Motorola Edge series target the mid-range to high-end phone markets. Motorola takes this series further and puts it in the high-end category with its Ultra variant. Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra is the latest flagship phone of this series.
It is remoured that Moto Edge 30 Ultra is the rebranded version of the X30 Pro, which was released in China on July 30, 2022. With the new name, the Edge 30 Ultra phone arrived in India, Europe, and the UK on 8th September 2022. Let’s take a look at the key specs, pros, and cons of this phone.
Key Features of Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra
Design
The new Edge 30 Ultra takes an entirely different approach to the design of smartphones compared to the previous Edge 30 phones that were released at the beginning of the year. This brand-new premium equipment has a much more "edgy" appearance.
Read Xiaomi 12T Pro Review: Is the hype real?
The display of the Edge 30 Ultra is very curved, much like the displays seen on the original Motorola Edge phones. As a result, the device may very well feature the tiniest display bezels that have ever been found on a Motorola phone.
The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the display, and its performance is flawless. Above the punch-hole camera is a speaker that doubles as an earphone, making it a 2-in-1 accessory. This speaker has a cutout that is somewhat long and quite narrow.
The rear of the Edge 30 Ultra has Motorola's most recent design language, which can also be seen on the Neo and Fusion Edge 30 phones. This design language can be found on the Edge 30 Ultra. This indicates that the camera module is square in shape, with rounded sides, and has a dual-LED flashlight in addition to three camera sensors.
Read Tecno Pova 4 Review: Gaming on a Budget
Display
The display, much like the design, checks off many appropriate boxes. It has a large 6.67-inch OLED display as its basis. It has a resolution of fullHD+, which is quite typical; nevertheless, it boasts refresh rates of up to 144Hz, which provides you with very fluid and crisp graphics in portions of the interface that support it as well as in games and applications that support it.
Along with compatibility with HDR10+, it offers support for 10-bit color, which translates to more than 1 billion different colors. That means the display has a high level of contrast, details, sharpness, and dynamic motion.
It does, however, have incredibly small bezels, an appearance that is accentuated further by the aforementioned curves in the glass and the fact that there is nothing that blocks the view of that screen thanks to the tiny hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.

In terms of software, it operates on Moto's take on Android 12, which is almost the same version that can be found on Google's Pixel phones. It is quite similar to the "stock" version of Android, although there are still a few modifications made by Motorola here and there.
Cameras
Rear Camera Series
Regarding the number of megapixels counted on its sensors, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra is shattering previous records. The major responsibility for photographing subjects lies with the 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor featuring f/1.9 width, 1/1.22-inch, and 0.64µm.
In addition, there is a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 ultra-wide sensor sporting f/2.2 aperture, 114˚ ultrawide field-of-view, 1/2.76-inch, and 0.64µm.
Read OnePlus Ace Pro Review: Premium phone with flagship chipset
What is more? The rear camera series of Moto Edge 30 Ultra includes a 12-megapixel Sony depth camera capable of 2x telephoto. It has an f/1.6 aperture and a 1.22µm lens.
Front Camera Series
Then there is the front-facing selfie camera with a resolution of 60 megapixels, which likewise employs quad-pixel binning for the default images. The sensor features an f/2.2 aperture, 1/2.8-inch lens size, and 0.61µm thickness.
The camera captures acceptable face tones and just slightly exaggerates the sense of sharpness. The image as a whole is pleasing, and if you go into the options for the camera, you can find the UHD mode, which enables you to take photos with a great deal more information.

Video Shooting Capacity
In terms of video capturing, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra’s rear camera can record up to 8K footage at 30 frames per second and 4K videos at 60 or 30 frames per second. It can also shoot 1080p video with a maximum of 960 frames per second for slow motion.
The front camera can capture a maximum of 4K footage at 30fps or 1080p footage at 30fps.
Performance
The Moto Edge 30 Ultra is one of the most powerful smartphones currently available since it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8475 8+ Gen 1 system-on-chip. It breezes through the standard battery of benchmarking tests with no problem at all. The CPU is combined with Adreno 730 GPU.
Read Asus ROG Phone 6D Review: Worth the price tag?
However, there are a few areas that may need some improvement, particularly when the smartphone is subjected to stresses that are maintained over time. When subjected to the CPU Throttle test, the Edge 30 Ultra performs at a level that is equivalent to 69% of its maximum capability. This is shown by a stability score of 67.1 percent obtained from the Extreme Wild Life Stress test conducted by 3DMark.
Even while the phone does not get very warm when performing these benchmarks, it would seem that some of the performance is being throttled to keep the phone's temperature from becoming dangerously high.
Edge 30 Ultra is available in several variants such as 128GB ROM by 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM by 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM by 12GB RAM, and 512GB ROM by 12GB RAM. The storage supports UFS 3.1 data transfer technology.

Battery and Charger
The Moto Edge 30 Ultra has a battery with a capacity of 4,600 mAh and comes packaged with a rapid charger with a power output of 120 watts. The device is also compatible with fast wireless charging 50W as well as reverse wireless charging 10W.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has a reputation for being a power-efficient processor. When paired with the relatively clean software that Motorola provides, there shouldn't be any issues with the device's battery life.
Price of Moto Edge 30 Ultra
The Moto Edge 30 Ultra is available at GBP 720. With a direct conversion to BDT, the price will be around BDT 82,160. The conversion rate here is 1 GBP = BDT 114.11. However, the official price of Moto Edge 30 Ultra in Bangladesh may vary due to tax and other issues.
Read Price Drop: Is it the right time to buy an iPhone 13?
Conclusion
In terms of flagship smartphones, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra satisfies all expectations in the correct ways. It has a powerful CPU, a large amount of RAM and storage space, a high-refresh HDR10+ display, and a camera system that seems quite capable. It is not yet known whether or not this will result in a first-rate experience.
The device's performance levels meet or exceed expectations, and the streamlined software makes the experience even more satisfying. The only concerns are some throttling that may be visible when prolonged loads are applied, as well as overexposure in images taken in low light.
All things considered, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is a superb phone that blends a sleek appearance with adequate technology.

Motorola officially released the phone in Bangladesh on May 6, 2021, and it is now widely available all over the country. Read to get Motorola Moto G30 full review.
Notable Features of Moto G30
Design
Moto G30 comes with an easy-to-use feature that allows using the phone with just one hand. The size of the phone and button placement makes it happen. With 200g weight and dimensions of 165.2 x 75.7 x 9.1mm it is perfect to carry.
In the rear part of the phone, you will see a rectangular camera bump on the top left side. Further, it has a fingerprint sensor on the back and it is easy to reach.

Display
G30 features a 6.5-inch LCD display along with a 720 X 1600 resolution. However, comparing to other phones at this range, you will find it as low resolution. You will find the difference while enjoying movies or playing games.
Furthermore, the screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, and it is in the higher end as the standard phone offers 60Hz. So, motions in Moto G30 look a little smoother. The screen size is almost perfect and the size is good enough to enjoy HD videos.
On the Moto G30’s screen, a slightly retro feature pops up as tear-drop notch housing in the front-facing camera.

Cameras
Although G30 is not photographic-centric, it offers a 64MP f/1.7 main camera along with, 2MP f/2.4 macro, 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and 2MP f/2.4 depth-sensing. Furthermore, you can take selfies with a 13MP f/2.2 front-facer secondary camera.
However, the selfie camera is a little lower resolution and perhaps a little pale compared to the competitors. Though the selfie camera features portrait mode, the background blurring is not actually accurate.
Nevertheless, the quality of the main camera is overwhelming. The pictures are nicely detailed with strong contrast that results in a dramatic-looking shot. Moreover, the 2MP macro and depth lenses boost the photography capabilities.
The digital zooming feature offers 8x zoom and thanks to the high-resolution camera for that. You can also do the video recording at 1080p and 30fps or 60fps. Sadly, you cannot record 4K, but will certainly get the 1080p quality.

Software
The phone has a clean-looking interface as it runs on Android 11. Further, a few preinstalled apps increase the accessibility of the phone and you can use them in the dark mode too. Furthermore, Motorola uses its own Moto Action in the phone.
With their astonishing software features, you can turn on the flashlight via double karate chop motion. Another good thing about the software is that you have to twist the phone twice to bring up the camera. Thus, this makes the phone’s usability super convenient. The unique software features are the reasons why you might make the buying decision. Though the Moto G30 doesn’t have a stellar chipset, it should not have any issues navigating the OS.

Performance
The G30 comes with Snapdragon 662 processor, which is definitely a distinct advantage over the Moto G10 phone that has Snapdragon 460 processor. The 662 offers an improved speed with a fair improvement from the 460.
In the graphic unit, G30 comes with Adreno 610 GPU. The Moto G30 has the ability to work with a multi-core score of 1267, which is the best so far compared to other Moto G series. Hence, this phone is perfect for some high-definition gaming such as PUBG.

Although it has two variations for the RAM and memory, the Bangladeshi market offers only one version officially. You will get 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Undoubtedly, 6GB RAM will increase the performance. Furthermore, the micro-SD card slot can get your memory expanded. Therefore, you will not have any problem installing any apps or taking tons of photos.
Battery
The chunky 5000mAh battery is massive for this phone as the phone has relatively weak specs. So, the battery will not be drained so quickly. Even if you use the phone too much, the 20W fast charging will charge it quickly.
