WI v BAN: Ebadot shines with ball in tour match
Right-arm Bangladeshi pacer Ebadot Hossian scalped three wickets on the second day of the three-day practice match between Bangladesh XI and Cricket West Indies President XI in Antigua.
Bangladesh scored 310 for seven and declared their first innings. Tamim Iqbal scored 162 for the visitors.
In reply, CWI President XI scored 201 for four at the end of day two. Jeremy Solozano of CWI President XI scored 89 and remained unbeaten while Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored 59 for them.

For Bangladesh, Ebadot bagged three wickets conceding 51 runs in 12 overs while Rejaur Rahman Raja took one wicket.
After this tour match, Bangladesh and West Indies will take on each other in a two-match Test, three-match ODI and three-match T20I series.
The first Test of the series will begin on June 16 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua and the second Test will be played at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia from June 24.

While the first two T20Is will be played at Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica on July 2 and 3 respectively, the third T20I and all three ODIs will be played at Providence Stadium, Guyana on July 10, 13 and 16 respectively.

BCB announces 14-member squad for two-day practice match vs Sri Lanka
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday announced a 14-member squad to play a two-day practice match against Sri Lanka at BKSP starting from May 10.
Mohammad Mithun, the right-handed batsman, will lead the BCB XI in this match. Anamul Haque Bijoy, who scored more than a thousand runs in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League this year, has been added to this team along with Mosaddek Hossain, Saif Hassan, Zakir Hasan and Abu Jayed Rahi.
The Sri Lanka cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on Sunday morning for a two-match Test series which is a part of the 2021-2023 ICC World Test Championship.

The first Test starts at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on May 15 while the second Test commences at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on May 23.

Shakib, Mehidy star in practice match
In the two-day practice match against the Zimbabwe Select XI, Shakib Al Hasan hit a fifty and bagged three wickets. Along with him, Mehidy Hasan Miraz also bagged three scalps. The match, which took place at the Takashinga Sports Club, Highfield, Harare, ended in a draw on Sunday.
Bangladesh won the toss in this match and opted to bat first. The tourists posted a total of 313 for two and declared their innings, with Shakib (74), Saif Hassan (65), and Najmul Hossain Shanto (52) doing well with the bat.
In reply, Zimbabwe Select XI tumbled for 202 . Captain Timycen Maruma was the best batsman for them hitting 58 off 132 balls.

For Bangladesh, Shakib bagged three wickets conceding 34 runs while Miraz also scalped as many wickets conceding 64. Besides them, Shoriful Islam took two wickets, and Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain took one wicket each.
The one-off Test will take place from July 7 at the Harare Sports Club. The three ODIs will take place on July 16, 18, and 20 while the T20Is will be played on July 23, 25, and 27 respectively at the same venue.
Test and ODIs will start at 1:30 pm (Bangladesh time) while T20Is at 4:30 pm (Bangladesh time).
Bangladesh’s last Zimbabwe tour was in 2013 when the Tigers ended up the series in a draw winning the one match of the two-match series.

After 2013, Zimbabwe toured Bangladesh thrice for the Test series and lost two of them, with the last series was a one-off Test affair.
Overall, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe took each other in nine Test series. Of them, Zimbabwe won four and Bangladesh came up victorious in three. The other two series ended up a draw.
