Semifinals of Bangabandhu National Football Championship Friday
Both semifinals of the Bangabandhu National Football Championship will be held Friday at the Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, Dhaka.
Bangladesh Army will face Mymensingh in the first semifinal at 3pm. Chattogram will lock horns with Magura at 6pm Friday.
The final match will be held Monday at 4:30pm at the same venue.

Earlier, Bangladesh Navy reached the semifinal beating Mymensingh 1-0 in the final round match on June 25. But they were eliminated from the tournament for fielding an illegal player against Mymensingh.
Finally, the Bangladesh Football Federation disciplinary committee in a meeting Thursday reviewed the allegation and found Navy guilty. So, it declared Mymensingh the winners against Navy.

36th National Snooker Championship on Thursday
The 36th edition of the National Snooker Championship’2022, jointly organized by Banani Club Limited and Bangladesh Billiards and Snooker Federation (BBSF) will be held on Thursday at the Banani Club Limited in the capital.
President of Banani Club Limited Rubel Aziz will inaugurate the meet at 12 pm as the chief guest.

Bangabandhu National Wushu begins Thursday
Bangabandhu 16th National Wushu Championship will begin on Thursday at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur .
President of Bangladesh Wushu Federation and Publicity and Publication Secretary of Bangladesh League Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap MP will inaugurate the four-day meet Thursday afternoon.
Chairman of NEN Group Sheikh Ifaz Ahmed will be the special guest on the occasion.

Some 500 players and officials from different districts and service teams will take part in the national meet, sponsored by China Bangla Ceramics Industries Limited.

SAFF Championship: 10-man Bangladesh come from behind to draw with India
Defender Yeasin Arafat helped Bangladesh earn a thrilling 1-1 draw against India in the SAFF Championship 2021 on Monday, with the men in red and green coming back from being a man and a goal down in the second half to earn a crucial point.
With the draw at the National Football Stadium in Male, Bangladesh are now top of the standings with four points from two matches after beating Sri Lanka 1-0 in the tournament opener.

As in the first game, Bangladesh's goal was scored by a defender, with Yeasin against India emulating Topu Barman against Sri Lanka.
Captain Sunil Chhetri put India ahead in the 26th minute, off a right-wing cross from Udoy Singh (1-0). It was his 76th international goal and sixth against Bangladesh. But Yeasin's 74th-minute equaliser ensured the teams shared the points.
Before that, Oscar Bruzon's men went down to 10 men after Bishwanath Ghosh was sent off in the 54th minute.

Bangladesh to participate in World Archery Championship 2021
A nine-member Bangladesh archery team left the capital for the US to participate in the qualifying round of the Yankton 2021 Hyundai World Archery Championship in Yankton of South Dakota from September 20-26.
The qualifying round of the world meet will begin Tuesday at 8pm Bangladesh time, and 9am local time.
