The export-import activities at Sonamasjid land port resumed on Saturday after ten days of suspension due to Eid-ul-Fitr, Independence Day holiday. Ruhul Amin, member secretary of C&F Agent Association, said trade activities remained suspended from March 18 to March 27. However, the goods-laden trucks from India started to enter the port from Saturday following the resumption of the port activities. Meanwhile, passenger movement with valid passports remained normal during this period.    

Trade activities between India and Bangladesh through Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh district will remain suspended for 12 days due to Eid-ul-Azha. The suspension will remain in force from July 19 to July 30, said Abdul Latif Tarin, president of the Banglabandha Land Port Export Association. Trade activities will resume on July 31.
