Fire service promotes 107 officers amid call for better performance
A total of 107 station officers and equivalent officers of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) Directorate have been promoted to the post of Warehouse Inspector.
This for the first time that station officers and equivalent officers got the promotion within five years, while it needed 17-18 years to get promotion in the past.

Brigadier General Md. Sajjad Hossain, Director General of the FSCD Directorate on Monday conferred rank badges on those promoted to the post of Warehouse Inspector at a function held at the conference room of the department.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest the DG congratulated the promoted officials.
“Promotion not only enhances dignity and rank, it also increases responsibility,” he said.

Director (Administration and Finance) Md Habibur Rahman presided over the function.
Senior officials of the directorate, including Director (Training, planning and Development) Lt Col SM Julfikar Rahman and Director (Ops) Lt Col Zillur Rahman were present on the occasion.

Air chief adorned with Air Chief Marshal Rank Badge
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan was adorned with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal on Tuesday.
He was adorned at a function in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban.

“Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and Acting Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf was adorned as the air chief with the (four-star) rank badge of Air Chief Marshal,” PM’s Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas told UNB.
Later, the Prime Minister wished the Air chief’s success in his duties.
PMO Secretary Md Tofazzel Hossain Miah, Director General of Special Security Force (SSF) Major General Md Majibur Rahman and PM’s Military Secretary Major General Naquib Ahmed Chowdhury were, among others, present.

Earlier, Shaikh Abdul Hannan was adorned with the rank badge of Air Marshal on June 13 last, a day after he took over as the Chief of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).
