4 more dengue patients die in 24 hours; This year’s death toll rises to 56
Four more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Monday morning, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 56 this year.
During the period, 436 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 174 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it, according to DGHS.

A total of 1531 dengue patients, including 1,022 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 9,193 dengue cases, 7,606 recoveries.

Bangladesh logs 2 more dengue deaths, 509 new cases
Two more people died from dengue in the 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to 52 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the period, 509 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, DGHS said.

7 more dengue cases reported in 24 hrs: DGHS
Seven more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Three new patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest were at the outside of the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Thirty-one dengue patients, including 16 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 611 dengue cases, 572 recoveries, and eight deaths this year.

Bangladesh reports one more dengue death: 22 new cases
Another person died from dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to three this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Besides, 22 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease. Of the new patients, five were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 17 outside it.
One hundred and twenty dengue patients, including 48 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Twenty-seven more people were hospitalised with dengue in the 24 hours till Sunday morning.
Of the new patients, seven were admitted to the hospitals in Dhaka and 20 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 176 dengue patients, including 62 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country

With two more deaths reported from dengue in 24 hours till Monday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 278 this year.
During this period, 106 more patients, including 43 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 447 dengue patients, including 243 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

With two more deaths from dengue recorded in 24 hours till Thursday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 269 this year.
During this period, 163 more patients, including 95 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With four more deaths from dengue recorded in 24 hours till Wednesday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 254 this year.

Dengue death toll climbs to 230 with 4 more deaths
With four more deaths from dengue confirmed in the 24 hours till Sunday morning, the official death toll from the disease rose to 230 in 2022 – the highest on record after the 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
On November 3, Bangladesh reported nine dengue deaths, the highest in a single day this year.
Of all the patients who died in the last 24 hours, two were from Dhaka division, one each from Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions. The latest numbers took Dhaka, Chattogram, and Barishal divisions’ death toll to 139, 57, and 11, respectively.
During this time, 646 more patients, including 320 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 2,478 dengue patients, including 1,386 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
DGHS has recorded 52,807 dengue cases and 50,099 recoveries so far this year.
Bangladesh is being hit hard by a recurrence of an outbreak of dengue, the disease that is endemic to the country.
Doctors and health experts say that measures taken by the city corporations and other authorities are not proving to be effective. The publicity and drives carried out by the authorities to destroy larvae of Aedes mosquito are proving to be inadequate.
