Couple killed in Jhalakathi AC blast
A couple was killed and three other members of their family were injured when an air-conditioner exploded at a house at Chander Bari in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi district early Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Forkan Hawladar, 45, son of Zohr Ali and his wife Mahinur Begum, 40.

The explosion occurred in the dead of night, leaving the couple and three others–Mainul 14, Sara, 3 and Mahfuza Begum, 30 injured, said Shyamal Dey, officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police Station.
Getting no response from the inmates of their house of till Saturday noon, Selim Hawladar, brother of Forkan, went into the house and found them wounded.

Later, they were taken to a local hospital where doctors declared the couple dead.

Couple killed as truck ploughs through Jamalpur house
A man and his wife were killed as a truck ploughed through their roadside house at Garohori village in Dewanganj upazila early Monday.
The deceased are Joynal Abedin, 48 a farmer, and his wife Hasina Begum, 40.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dewanganj Police Station Mohabbat Kabir said the Rowmari-bound fertilizer-laden truck skidded off the road and ploughed through the roadside house after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the couple, who were asleep, dead on the spot.
However, the driver managed to flee the scene, the OC added.

Couple found dead in Cumilla
A couple was found dead in a house at Subarnapur in Sadar upazila of Cumilla district early Monday.
Kamal Krishna Dhar, inspector of Kotwali Model Police Station, said local people found the door of the couple’s house open in the morning and saw them dead.
The hands and legs of the couple -- Billal Hossain, a rural doctor, and his wife Safura Begum -- were found tied up, but there was no injury mark in their bodies.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that miscreants might have entered the house some time at night and strangled them to death.
