Decomposed body of sexagenarian man recovered at Khilkhet
Police recovered the decomposed body of a sexagenarian man from an apartment at Lake City in Khilkhet area of the capital on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Faruk Kabir Badal of Tongibari area in Munshiganj district.
He had been living alone in the flat as his wife and daughter reside in the United States.
Jibon Chandra Das, sub-inspector of Khilkhet Police Station, said being informed by neighbours, police recovered the body of Badal and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue.
No injury marks were found on the body and it is suspected that he might have died due to age-related complications, the officer said.
The exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report is received, he added.

Decomposed body of 'foreign citizen' recovered from Kushiara river
A suspected Indian citizen’s half-decomposed body was recovered from Kushiara river in Beanibazar upazila in Sylhet on Thursday.
Police recovered the body around 7:30 after being informed by locals who spotted the floating body.

Police have recovered a smartphone and a money bag with a mobile SIM card and some Indian visiting cards with the body.
“From the possessions we are primarily suspecting the man was an Indian citizen,” said Officer-in-Charge of Beanibazar police station Hillol Ray.
The body was sent for an autopsy after filing a primary inquiry report, said the OC.
