Thousands of blankets allocated by Education Minister Dipu Moni for the cold-hit poor people of Chandpur Sadar and Haimchar were distributed on Friday.

Various cold-related diseases have affected 5,527 people across the country in the last 24 hours, the government said on Monday.

National film award winning actress Dilara Hanif Purnima is engaged with the initiative like the first season.
