A sinkhole has appeared on Tongi Bridge, triggering traffic chaos on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur. In fact, since Thursday morning, vehicles have been moving at a snail's pace on the highway, leading to a long tailback on the Gazipur-Dhaka carriageway of the corridor. Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (traffic) Abdullah Al Mamun said a small pothole on the bridge grew into a sinkhole, disrupting traffic on the highway.
