Police have arrested two alleged fraudsters on charge of recommending a candidate for the post of constable forging the signature of Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed. One of the two arrestees has been identified as Vishnu Barman, son of Niranjan Barmman of Jhalokathi district, while another one is Swapan Singh, son of Birandra Nath Sing of Patuakhali district. The duo forged the signatures of the IGP and made a written recommendation to the district Superintendent Police (SP)of Bagerhat on October 21 stating the identity of a candidate for the post of constable, said AIG (media) of the Police Headquarters Md Kamruzzaman. Based on secret information, the Police later raided and arrested the two fraudsters on Sunday. A case was filed against the arrested accused at Fakirhat Model Police Station under the relevant law.
