Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto in Moscow on official visit
Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reached Moscow. He is currently on a two-day official visit, on invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was received by senior officials of the Russian foreign ministry, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan and other embassy officials on Sunday (January 29, 2023) upon his arrival in Moscow, reports Pakistani newspaper Dawn.

The two foreign ministers are scheduled to meet today for official talks.
The Pakistani foreign minister was quoted by Dawn as saying: “I’ve been invited to speak at the international luncheon of the annual National Prayer Breakfast and will make an in-and-out trip for that.”
Meanwhile, as part of Pakistan’s effort to re-engage with the US, the foreign minister and Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar are expected to visit Washington soon.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to visit New York to attend a UN-sponsored conference on Muslim women, being held on Pakistan’s initiative on March 8. He is also likely to attend another UN event in New York on March 15 to commemorate the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, as per Pakistani media report.

PM leaves Washington for home via London
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Washington DC for Dhaka wrapping up her 18-day official visit to the UK and the USA.
A VVIP chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier and her entourage left Washington at about 6:30 pm (local time).

State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Bangladesh Ambassador to USA Muhammad Imran and Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Muhammad Abdul Muhith saw the PM off at the airport.
She will have a stopover in London before reaching Dhaka early Tuesday.
Hasina went to London on September 15, on an official visit to the United Kingdom mainly to attend Queen Elizabeth II's funeral and a reception hosted by King Charles III.

On September 19, she left London for New York.
During her stay in the USA, Sheikh Hasina addressed the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 23. She also took part in several events on the sidelines of the UNGA.

Bangladesh Air Force Chief departs for Turkey
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan along with his spouse and two entourages left Dhaka for Turkey on Saturday for a five-days official visit.
He left the country at the invitation of Commander of the Turkish Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz.

During the visit, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will visit the mausoleum (Anitkabir) of
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founding Father of Turkey and pay homage by laying floral wreath, says an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) media release on Sunday afternoon.
During visit, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will call on Commander of Turkish Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz.
During call on, they will exchange views on bilateral issues of mutual interests which will be beneficial for implementing future plans of BAF.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will visit different government and private military equipment production facilities including Turkish Aerospace Industries.

It is expected that the visit of Chief of Air Staff will play a vital role for strengthening the existing cordial relationship with Bangladesh and Turkey by expanding scope of mutual cooperation in the professional sectors.

PM arrives in Abu Dhabi to begin 5-day official visit
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Abu Dhabi on Monday on a five-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, that left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:15 pm (local time), carrying the PM and her entourage, landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 7:25pm.
The prime minister is undertaking the visit at the invitation of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makdoum, who is also the ruler of Dubai.
Bangladesh and the UAE seek to elevate their ties to a comprehensive partnership with deeper political engagement.

High on the agenda during the visit is trade and commerce; investment, manpower and cooperation in other potential areas including renewable energy.
Hasina is scheduled to return home at 11:30pm on March 12.

It’s enlightening to learn about Bangabandhu’s life: Maldives VP
Visiting Vice President of the Maldives Faisal Naseem on Monday visited Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“It was enlightening to learn about the life and deeds of Bangabandhu, whose selfless efforts paved the way for the country to become an independent nation,” he said
The Vice President of the Maldives signed the visitors’ book after placing a floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
