Three injured in CTG gas cylinder explosion
Three workers sustained burn injuries as a gas cylinder exploded in a restaurant at Khulshi in Chattogram city on Monday morning.
The injured were identifies as Md Kashem, 17, Nur Hossain, 20, and Mubinul Haque, 22. All are worker of Fusion Café located near Khulshi Holy Crescent Hospital.

Santosh Kumar Chakma, Offcier-in-Charge of Khulshi Police Station, said the injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hosptial.
A fire service team reached the spot to investigate the cause of explosion, he added. However, Fusion Cafe manager Md. Gulzar did not respond to phone calls despite several attempts.

5 inc. three children, burnt in gas cylinder accident in Dinajpur
Five individuals, including three minor children, sustained burn injuries in a fire that erupted as gas was being transferred carelessly cylinder from one cylinder to another in Birganj upazila in the district on Saturday.
The injured have been identified as Jahidul Islam, his wife Shahana Begum, their 13-year-old son Joy, three-year-old daughter Lamia and their neighbour’s five-year-old son Saidur Rahman.
Of the injured, the children have been undergoing treatment with back injuries at M Abdur Rahim Medical College in the upazila after taking first-aid from Upazila Health Complex.
Witnesses said a fire broke out suddenly as Jahidul was transferring gas from a bigger cylinder to a smaller one at his house in Centerpara area around 2pm, leaving the five critically injured.

Locals first rushed them to the Upazila Health Complex and later three of them shifted to the medical college for better treatment, they said.
However, it could not be ascertained immediately how much percentage of the burn the injured received.
Meraj Ali, station in-charge of Birganj Fire Service and Civil Defense, said transforming gas from one cylinder to another without experience is high risky and the reason for the accident worked this factor.
Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge Birganj police station, said they heard about the matter and were looking into it.

Two die a week after Sylhet gas cylinder blast
Two people, who sustained severe burn injuries after a gas cylinder blast at a CNG filling station in Sylhet on July 15, succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka Thursday and Friday respectively, said police.
The deceased were identified as Nurul Hoque, a resident of Sunamganj district, and Nurul Hoque, another resident of Kumargaon area in Sylhet district.
Nazmul Huda Khan, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad police station, confirmed the death news through Dhaka police Saturday evening.

On July 15 night, four people including the deceased sustained severe burn injuries after a gas cylinder explosion at “Safat Ullah CNG Filling Station” in Kumargaon area in the district.
Helal Ahmed, owner of the filling station, claimed that the blast occurred at a reserved cylinder room when one of the victims was about to plug his mobile phone charger on a switchboard triggering a spark with a big bang.
The accident left the staff injured, he said, adding that they were rushed to Dhaka where two of them died while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.

Mugda fire: Mother-son duo dies of burn injuries
A woman and her five-year-old child have succumbed to the burn injuries they sustained in a fire caused by cooking gas leakage in their house in city's Mugda on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Priyanka (32) and her son Arup.
While Priyanka, who received 72 percent burns, died of her injuries around 3am on Tuesday, her son with 67 percent burns died around 11pm on Monday, said Dr SM Ayub Hossain of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Priyanka’s husband Sudhangshu (35), with 25 percent burns, and 55-year-old mother-in-law, with 35 percent burns, are currently undergoing treatment at the institute of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
The fire broke out around 7.30am Monday at their ground floor apartment in Matobbor Gali of Mugda.
Priyanka’s brother Palash had said that the four family members suffered burn injuries as they lit the stove in the morning unaware of the gas leakage.
