Oppo has been one of the forerunners of the mid-range smartphone market of Bangladesh. Some of the previous offerings from the brand have been hugely popular in the mid-range device market. The Oppo A95 follows suit on that. The phone was released in November 2021. Premium build quality, stylish looks, powerful camera, and a capable processor. And not to mention the beautiful dual-tone back finish. Is this the new flagship killer in a budget? Let’s find out.  Key Features of Oppo A95 Design and Build Quality  The design of the A95 is nothing revolutionary. Oppo stood by the proven and tested design formula from its previous devices, especially the Reno 6Z.  The back features a matte finish with a dual sparkle coating. It gives the phone its prism-like appearance under the light where it shifts colors. It gives a unique look to the back. The back might look like frosted glass, however, it is just coated plastic. The side of the phone is made from polycarbonate which gives the phone a strong frame. The rectangular module does not look out of place rather blends well with the overall design elements. The right side of the device features the power button. On the left side, there is the volume rocker. The bottom houses a single firing speaker grill, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a charging port.  The phone is available in three colors – fluid black, cosmo blue, and silver.  Display  The display is a strong aspect of the Oppo A95. It features a 6.43-inch FHD+ display. The screen is an AMOLED panel that gets adequately bright at around 430 nits. The display peaks out at 800 nits under direct sunlight. That makes for a clear view even in outdoor conditions. Though it is an AMOLED panel, there is nothing off the top here. The display has a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. The display does get bright but the colors look somewhat dull. It has more to do with the stock setting rather than the display itself. Users can tweak the sRGB color gamut to suit their color preference on the device.  However, the viewing angles are decent on this device. The lower bezel is a bit prominent by 2021 standard, but it is not a deal-breaker.  Camera  There is a triple camera setup on the Oppo A95. The main sensor is a 48 MP f/1.7 wide-angle shooter. There is also a 2 MP ultrawide sensor along with a 2 MP depth sensor. But to be honest, only the main sensor shines on this device. The other two sensors are not on par with the industry standards.  The camera module is complemented by an LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The camera has gyro-EIS for stable videography. It can shoot up to 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 120 fps. The cameras perform well in well-lit conditions. It is nothing out of the ordinary but gets the job done. However, expect to see some noise on pictures in indoor conditions. It is the same as previous A series phones from Oppo. Just like the back camera, the front can also take decent wide-angle shots in bright conditions. So, no worries about selfies.  Processor and Performance  The phone is powered by Snapdragon 662. The chip is built on a more power-demanding 11 nm structure. The chip is an octa-core processor with 4 2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold and 4 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver. The chip is complemented by an Adreno 610 GPU. The CPU and GPU are powered by 8 GB RAM with an option of 128 or 256 GB of ROM. Other connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC are all present. There is a proprietary fingerprint sensor under the display. Although the phone can handle light gaming without much hassle. While playing graphic-intensive titles like PUBG and Asphalt 9, there are frame drops here and there and the phone does get heated pretty fast. The GPU can handle graphics pretty well, but the outdated processor lets it down on the gaming front. This phone is aimed at more casual users. People will use it for day-to-day simple tasks with the prime focus being on the camera. The phone runs Android 11 out of the box with Oppo’s ColorOS 11 skin on top. Overall, it makes a decent user experience. However, android purists will have a hard time adjusting to the bloatware present in the OS. Battery and Charge time  Oppo included a 5000 mAh battery with the A95. The battery is standard as expected from a mid-range phone on a power-consuming 11 nm processor architecture. Expect to get around 6 to 7 hours of SoT with normal usage. The battery is coupled with a 30W VOOC 2.0 fast charger.
