Construction worker dies from electrocution in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar
A 35-year-old construction worker was electrocuted and another one injured while working at an under-construction building in Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Tara Mia, son of Chan Mia Sardar while the injured was identified as Md Hasan of Kalkini upazila in Madaripur district.
Co-worker Sajal, said the accident occurred around 11:20 am when Tara Mia and Hasan got electrocuted as they came in contact with live electric wire during the construction work of a fourth-floor roof of an under-construction building and fell from the building.
Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared Tara Mia dead.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue, said Inspector Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp.
Hasan was undergoing treatment at the emergency department of the hospital.

Construction worker dies of electrocution in the city
A construction worker in the city's Bhasantek area was electrocuted to death on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Md Maruf, 25, a resident of Chunia Kandi village in Gaibandha Sadar upazila.

The incident occurred around noon when Maruf went to connect an electrical line in the first floor of a multi-storied building he was working at under a developer company, said his co-worker Md Aftab.
Maruf’s co-workers rescued him in an unconscious condition and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctors announced him dead, said Bacchu Mia, in-charge Inspector of DMCH police outpost.

The body was sent for an autopsy, he said.
