Uttara BGB Market fire doused
A fire that broke out at Uttara’s BGB Market in Dhaka this morning, was doused at 11:25 am.
The fire broke out around 10:25 am and was brought under control around 11:10 am.

Fire Service Headquarters Duty Officer Lima Khanam said that the first unit of firefighters reached the spot around 10:35 am.

Six units of firefighters worked to douse the blaze at BGB Market in Uttara. No casualties were reported at the time of filing this report.

Fire at Chawkbazar plastic factory doused
A fire that broke out at a plastic factory early on Tuesday morning in the Posta Chawkbazar area of old Dhaka has been doused completely, officials said.
The fire started around 6.10am inside the factory.

"After an hour-long effort, seven firefighting units managed to douse the flames completely," said Shahjahan Shikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
"Fortunately, no casualties were reported. A probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire," he added.

Fire at city’s RK Tower doused; 3 burnt
At least three people suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out at RK Tower, a commercial high-rise building in the city’s Banglamotor, on Saturday.
The injured are Mamun Khan, 31, office assistant, Tafsir Mia, 26, and Manik Fakir, 20, workers of a toy importing company named Rabeya Enterprise in the building.
The fire broke out on the 7th floor of the 10-storey building around 12.15pm and spread soon.
The fire came under control around 2 pm and it was completely doused at 4:20 pm by eight firefighting units, said Rozina Akter,Duty officer of the Dhaka Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.

The injured are currently being treated at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery under Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Injured Mamun suffered 34 per cent burns, Tafsir seven per cent and Manik three percent burns, said SM Ayub Hossain, resident surgeon of the institute.
Injured Manik said we were organising the toys when the fire broke out in the room. He suspected that it originated from an electric short circuit.

Meanwhile, Rozina Akter,Duty officer of Fire service, said the exact cause of the fire will be known after investigation.
