Journalist Uday Hakim joins Vista as entrepreneurial director
Journalist Uday Hakim has joined Vista Electronics Limited as an entrepreneurial director.
A function was organised at the corporate office of Vista Electronics at Gulshan-1 in the capital on the occasion. The Vista family cut a cake and greeted him with flowers on Tuesday.

Uday Hakim was involved in journalism for 12 years when he worked in Prothom Alo, Amar Desh, Channel I, CSB News, Kaler Kantho and Risingbd, said a press release.
In 2010, he joined Walton and he was the Senior Executive Director of Walton and the Advisory Editor of online news portal Risingbd.com.
Vista started its journey in early 2021 with the slogan ‘Excellence in Technology’. Vista has set up a factory at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakair, Gazipur.

Travel literature: Uday Hakim gets Songsoptok Sahitya Award 2021
Uday Hakim– writer, journalist, corporate personality – has been honoured with Songoptok Sahitya Award 2021 for his contribution to travel literature.
He received the award from Bangla Academy Director General Poet Nurul Huda at a programme in the capital on December 26.
The programme was arranged on the occasion of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the 31st founding anniversary of Songsoptok.
Nurul Huda attended the function as the chief guest while Songsoptok's proprietor Shahidul Islam was the chair.
As of now, Uday has penned 10 books, including three travelogues.
His notable works include, "Darjeeling e Brihsti," "Kalimpong e Roud," "Rohossomoy Adam Pahar," "Sundori Jelekonna," "Rohossomoy Guha," "Helichair," and 'Mass of Ghosts."

Uday joined Walton in 2010 and is now working as the executive director of the company.
He was born in 1975 in Mirzapur upazila, Tangail. After completing his graduation and post-graduation in mass communication and journalism from the University of Dhaka, he worked for 12 years in national Bangla dailies including, Prothom Alo, Amar Desh, and Kaler Kantha.
