Dry weather likely in most parts of the country
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies across the country in 24 hours, starting from 9 am today, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
According to the regular weather bulletin, "Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country, with chances of rain or thunder showers at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Kishoregonj and Brahmanbaria."
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the river basins of the country during early morning, it said.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius in Tetulia and the highest temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, Chuadanga districts and Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district.
A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

A light to thick blanket of fog is likely to envelop large parts of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours, starting this morning.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during late night to morning, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said today.

The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.
Night temperature may rise by (1-2 °C) and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 9.8 degree Celsius in Dinajpur in the last 24 hours till 6am Sunday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 30.1 degree Celsius in Teknaf.
Meanwhile, the depression over southwest Bay and adjoining area moved southwestwards at 6am today, as per the latest warning of the met office.

All fishing boats and trawlers over north Bay and deep sea have been advised not to venture into the depression area, it added.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and northern part of the country and light to moderate fog elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said today.
The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country, it added. "Night and day temperatures may fall slightly over the country."

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 8.4-degree Celsius in Badalgachhi of Rajshahi division in the last 24 hours till 6am Friday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 29.6-degree Celsius in Teknaf of Chattogram division.

Brace for foggy weather!
Large parts of Bangladesh are likely to be engulfed in a blanket of moderate to thick fog for up to 12 hours from Thursday midnight, the weather office has predicted.
Besides, the weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country, according to the daily Met bulletin.

Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged while day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar in neighbouring India and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, according to the bulletin.
However, Shahinul Islam, a meteorologist with the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), said that temperature has started to rise as there is no mild cold wave currently in the country.
“There is a possibility of rain in the country next week and then severe cold will be felt all over” he said.

In the last 24 hrs till 6am, the country’s minimum temperature was recorded at 10 degrees in Badalgachhi of Rajshahi district while the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.0 degrees in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar district, according to the bulletin.
