Student electrocuted to death while hanging Brazil flag in Kushtia
A 14-year-old madrasa boy was electrocuted while trying to tie the Brazil flag to a tree near his house on Tuesday.
"The accident occurred in Pitambar Bashi village of Panti Union of the upazila.

"Mithu Sheikh, son of Shahid Sheikh in the area," Md. Mohsin Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kumarkhali police station, said.
Mithu was a student of class nine of Dansa Mahur Ali Dakhil Madrasa.

Mithu climbed the tree to hang the Brazilian flag on the top of the betel nut tree around 1:20 pm. At that time, he got electrified and fell from the tree. Locals rescued him and took him to Kushtia General Hospital where doctors declared him dead, added the OC.

Woman electrocuted to death in Chuadanga
A woman was electrocuted to death in Kedarnagar village of Chuadanga's Alamdanga upazila on Tuesday night, police said.
The deceased was identified as Rowshon Ara, wife of Asabul Haque of the village.

Family sources said that Rowshon got a massive electric show after touching the balcony's iron grill that accidentally came in contact with a live wire.
Rowshon died on the spot, said Abdul Alim, officer-in-charge of Alamdanga Police Station. "No complaint has been received from the deceased's family," he added.

Navy man dies from electrocution in Ctg
A member of Bangladesh Navy was electrocuted to death at Karnaphuli in Chattogram early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Wahidul Islam Riaz, 25, son of Zafar Ahmed of Lakhsmipur district.
Police said Wahidul was accidentally electrocuted after getting in contact with an electric wire in the early hours of Friday at Banauja Julda Nirvik basecamp.

Later, he was rushed to a Naval Hospital where the doctor declared him dead, said Dulal Mahmud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Karnaphuli Police Station.
The body was kept in Chittagong Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
