The BIMSTEC Secretariat has expressed its solidarity with the government and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the birth  centenary celebrations of Father  of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that begins on March 17.   A banner paying tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled on Monday afternoon at the BIMSTEC Secretariat in the city.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has said that Bangladesh will construct a multi-storied modern building for the Bimstec Secretariat.
