Bangladesh and Ireland have reached the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 final. The Bangladesh women’s team reached the final after beating Thailand by 11 runs on September 23. On the other hand, the Irish women’s team secured a place in the final by beating Zimbabwe by 4 runs in their semifinal fixture. Let’s have a look at the Bangladesh vs Ireland final match preview.
Bangladesh Women vs Ireland Women: Final Match Preview
The Bangladesh team’s good run of form in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 has continued as they overcame Thailand in the second semifinal to earn a place in the final. In the first semifinal, Ireland stunned the Zimbabwean side in the last over of the match. Both teams have qualified for the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup by reaching the final.
Bangladesh will be overwhelmingly favourite to win the 2022 Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier final as they have never lost a T20I against Ireland. Both sides have met each other in five T20Is and the tigresses have won all of them.

Bangladesh
What’s really impressive is that Bangladesh’s batters are in good touch and have done their job properly in this tournament. That is why Bangladesh's women’s team hasn’t really suffered much in the ongoing event. Skipper Nigar Sultana is the team’s best batter in the competition, scoring 174 runs in 4 innings. However, if anything Bangladesh need to look at, that would be their strike rate. They need to concentrate more on improving their strike rate.
Bangladesh’s spinners have been excellent and are the main terrorizing factors for the opposition batting lineups. The Irish team will be concerned about Bangladesh’s depth in spin bowling in the final.
Probable Playing XI
Fargana Hoque, Murshida Khatun, Nigar Sultana (captain & wicket-keeper), Rumana Ahmed, Sobhana Mostary, Ritu Moni, Nahida Akter, Sanjida Akter Meghla, Salma Khatun, Shohely Akhter, Lata Mondal

Ireland
The Irish women’s team’s main target of qualifying for next year’s Women’s Twenty20 World Cup was assured after beating Zimbabwe in the semifinal. Therefore, they will be under less pressure when meeting Bangladesh in the final. The Irish side will definitely try to win the competition in order to boost their confidence.
Ireland’s most informed batter is Gaby Hollis Lewis, who has scored 121 runs in four innings with an excellent 135.95 strike rate. On the other hand, Arlene Nora Kelly has been the most impressive bowler for the Irish team, with 6 wickets in 4 innings. They have to be in their best form in the final against Bangladesh to win this qualifier event. Ireland will likely deploy the same playing XI that played against Zimbabwe.
Probable Playing XI
Amy Hunter, Gaby Lewis, Orla Prendergast, Laura Delany (captain), Eimear Richardson, Rebecca Stokell, Shauna Kavanagh, Mary Waldron (wicket-keeper), Arlene Kelly, Cara Murray, Jane Maguire

Bottom Line
Both the Bangladesh and Ireland women's teams have already qualified for the 2023 ICC Women's Twenty20 World Cup, therefore neither team will feel any pressure when they play in the qualifier event final. However, the statistics favour the tigresses to win the Bangladesh vs Ireland ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 final.

T20: Sharma powers India to series-levelling win against Australia
Captain Rohit Sharma struck 46 not out off 20 balls to power India to a six-wicket win over Australia and level their T20 series Friday.
Sharma's blitz led India to 92-4 after Australia scored 90-5.
The second T20 was reduced to eight overs a side after a wet outfield delayed the start for 2 1/2 hours. Bowlers were limited to two overs each.
Sharma struck four fours and another four sixes as India chased down Australia's total with four balls to spare.
Chasing 91 off 48 balls in a power shootout, Sharma and Lokesh Rahul, who scored 10, put on 39 runs off 17 balls for the first wicket.
India collapsed to 55-3 in the space of 10 deliveries. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa struck a triple blow to send back Rahul, Virat Kohli (11) and Suryakumar Yadav (0) in quick succession and take 3-16.
Sharma was in ominous touch, though. He powered through with a 22-run partnership off 14 balls with Hardik Pandya (9) as India edged closer to the total.
Dinesh Karthik then smashed 10 runs off two balls and the series was level with one match left.

Put in to bat, Matthew Wade was the star of the Australia innings with 43 not out off 20 balls.
Aaron Finch's 31 off 15 launched the visitors even as Cameron Green (5) was run out cheaply.
Spinner Axar Patel dismissed Glenn Maxwell (0) and Tim David (2) at a cost of only 13 runs, and Jasprit Bumrah returned to international cricket by castling Finch with a near-perfect yorker.
Australia were down to 46-4 in five overs when Wade took over. He smacked four fours and three sixes to give them a challenging total.
The third and last T20 is on Sunday in Hyderabad, where 20 people were injured on Thursday in a stampede for tickets.

Tigresses book ticket to T20 World Cup 2023 beating Thailand
Bangladesh beat Thailand by 11 runs in Abu Dhabi Friday to qualify for the main round of the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa.
The Tigresses batted first after losing the toss in the second semifinal of the World Cup qualifiers. They scored 113-5 in 20 overs. Rumana Ahmed (28) was the highest run-getter for the Tigresses. Murshida Khatun scored 26.
For Thailand, Rosenan Kanoh, Phannita Maya and Onnicha Kamchomphu took one wicket each.
Chasing 114, Thailand fell short of 11 runs despite 64 runs from Natthakan Chantham. Apart from Natthakan, other Thai batters failed to impress, and they lost the chance to qualify for the World Cup.

Brook, Duckett propel England to 63-run win over Pakistan
Harry Brook and Ben Duckett bludgeoned maiden T20 half-centuries as England bounced back to beat Pakistan by 63 runs Friday.
Brook smashed 81 off 35 balls and left-hander Duckett made 70 off 42 deliveries as England racked up 221-3 after losing the toss.
Pakistan's top order crumbled against fast bowlers Mark Wood and Reece Topley and finished on 158-8 a day after chasing down 199.
"We were ruthless tonight, especially in batting," England skipper Moeen Ali said. "Brooky hopefully grows and becomes one of the top players. Wood bowled at serious pace, great to have him back. He's a massive part of our team."
Wood picked up 3-24 with pace that saw him touching 156 kph (97 mph) and Reece took 1-22 in their first game of the series as England brought them in for David Willey and Luke Wood.
England lead the series 2-1 with four more games to go.
Captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan could not repeat their Thursday night heroics when they led Pakistan to a 10-wicket win with a brilliant double-century stand.
Both batters scored 8 runs each before Wood had Babar caught at third man in the third over and Topley clean-bowled Rizwan with a brilliant slower ball.
Pakistan slipped to 28-4 within the first six overs of the batting powerplay when Haider Ali was brilliantly snapped up by Adil Rashid at backward square leg and Sam Curran undid Iftikhar Ahmed with a short-pitched delivery.
"When you lose your four top batters within the first six overs, you always struggle," Babar said. "Our bowling was also not up to the mark, but we will try not to repeat the mistakes in the next games."

Left-hander Shan Masood, who made his T20 debut in the first game, top-scored with an unbeaten 65 off 40 balls but Pakistan always lagged well behind once they lost Babar and Rizwan and in the face of Wood's fast deliveries.
Earlier, Brook smashed the Pakistan pacers in the latter half of the innings while Duckett was excellent against the spinners.
Brook punished Shahnawaz Dahani (0-62) with boundaries galore in the death overs as the fast bowler returned Pakistan's second most expensive figures in a T20. Brook blistered eight fours and five sixes.
"It was very nice to get out there and have a match-winning performance," Brook said. "I was Just hitting through the line of the ball ... and was just trying to get (Duckett) on strike – he's so good against spin, it's ridiculous."
Leg-spinner Usman Qadir picked up the wickets of debutant Will Jacks (40) and Dawid Malan (14) in his first two overs before ending with 2-48.
Jacks, who hit a century for Surrey in the Hundred, filled the shoes of the rested Alex Hales in his debut T20 by racking up eight boundaries on both sides of the pitch. He holed out in the deep against Qadir's googly.
Brook and Duckett then combined in a breezy 139-run stand off just 66 balls in England's highest score of the series.

Nurul hopes to start new winning streak against UAE
Nurul Hasan Sohan, vice-captain of the Bangladesh T20 team, has said he hopes to start a new winning streak in the UAE with the two-match T20 series.
Shakib Al Hasan, regular T20 captain of Bangladesh, is not available for this tour. He is now playing in the Caribbean Premier League for Guyana Amazon Warriors. In his absence, Nurul will lead the Bangladesh team.
The Tigers left for the UAE Thursday evening.
"Winning matches in this tour will help boost our confidence ahead of the New Zealand tour and the T20 World Cup," Nurul told the media before flying to Dubai.
The T20 World Cup will take place in late October in Australia. Ahead of this mega event, Bangladesh will play a tri-series in New Zealand that also involves Pakistan alongside the hosts.
Bangladesh will play five matches in the Super 12s of the World Cup. The Tigers will take to the field to play their first match on October 24 and other ones on October 27, 30, and November 2 and 6.

Bangladesh vs Thailand: ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 semifinal match preview
Bangladesh and Thailand will meet each other in the first semifinal of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022. The Bangladesh women’s team’s journey in the tournament so far has been commanding, winning all three fixtures of the group phase. On the other hand, Thailand had a couple of tough games in the group stage. Let’s take a look at the Bangladesh vs Thailand semi-final match preview.
Bangladesh Women vs Thailand Women: Semifinal Match Preview
The Bangladesh women's team has fared much better than Thailand in the ongoing Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier 2022. The Tigresses were dominant over their opponents in group A. They beat Ireland by 14 runs, Scotland by 6 wickets and the United States by 55 runs to finish top of their group with 6 points.
Thailand, on the other hand, started their campaign with an encouraging 7-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates. The match between Thailand and Papua New Guinea became a do-or-die affair after Thailand's women lost to Zimbabwe women by 6 wickets. Thailand eventually finished second in group B after beating Papua New Guinea by 12 runs in their third match.
The Bangladesh women’s team has won all four matches they have played against Thailand women in T20I. Therefore, Bangladesh side is expected to overcome Thailand in this semifinal contest.

Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s batting and bowling departments are much stronger than the rest of the participating teams in the 2022 ICC women’s T20 world cup qualifier. Skipper Nigar Sultana has been the most informed batter in Bangladesh. She has scored 157 runs in 3 innings with a 115.44 strike rate. Apart from her, Murshida Khatun also has more than 100 runs in three innings. These two informed batters will be crucial for the Tigresses in the semifinal match.
In bowling, Bangladesh’s spinners have proved too tough to handle as Salam Khatun, Nahida Akter, and Shohely Akter have been the most successful bowlers for the team. The spinners will once again be the major threat against Thailand in Friday’s knockout contest.
Probable Playing XI
Shamima Sultana (wicket-keeper), Murshida Khatun, Nigar Sultana (captain), Salma Khatun, Nahida Akter, Ritu Moni, Shohely Akhter, Lata Mondal, Sobhana Mostary, Rumana Ahmed, Sanjida Akter Meghla
Thailand
Thailand’s Nannapat Koncharoenkai has been the most informed batter for the team, with 96 runs in 3 innings. Chanida Sutthiruang has also played well for the Thai women’s side, scoring 62 runs in 3 innings. However, none of the batters have more than a 100-strike rate, which is very important for T20 format cricket.
In contrast, Thailand's bowling unit has performed much better than their batters. Nattaya Boochatham is currently the most successful bowler in the tournament with 7 wickets. Besides, Onnicha Kamchomphu has also picked up 4 wickets. These two need to take the extra burden in the match against Bangladesh.
