Walton Primo R10 Review: Does it offer value for money?
Walton was one of the first brands in Bangladesh that emerged as an electronic conglomerate. The company started with home appliances and later ventured into features and smartphones. In its decade-long journey in the Bangladeshi smartphone market, the company has always prioritized the match between quality and affordability. Walton's latest offering, the Primo R10 is a testament to that commitment. With an entry-level price tag, the device brings some impressive features that are sure to ruffle some feathers. Here’s our detailed take on the device.
Key Specifications of Walton Primo R10
Design and Build Quality
Like other previous Walton devices, the Primo R10 has a completely plastic build all around. Walton never shied away from colors, and the R10 is available in three distinct colorways. You have bottle green, ford blue, and midnight green.
The back of the device will give an iPhone-like feel to the users thanks to the triangular camera alignment. But other than that, everything seems pretty generic and resembles the tried and tested design language of Walton.

The only shocker here is the removal of the headphone jack. While the headphone jack has been a thing of the past for flagships, it is still prevalent on mid-range and budget devices. Walton has decided to remove the headphone jack from the R10. And it's almost certain that future devices will also miss out on it.
Other than that, everything else seems to be right where they’re supposed to be. There is a dual sim slot with expandable storage, a bottom-firing speaker, and a Type-C port.
The design and the build quality won’t instill anything new in the users. And given Waltons track record on the budget market, that might not be a bad thing at all.

The Display
Moving on to the display, we have an IPS V-notch display with an HD+ resolution. This is again the same display found on the Primo R9. This might be a cost-minimization strategy from Walton, but some devices come with at least FHD+ resolution at this price point.
Another minor gripe with the display is the use of the INCELL technology, which is a conventionally lower tech used on LCD panels. While higher-end LCDs don’t usually suffer from color shifting anymore, the same doesn’t hold true for the INCELL panel.
Beyond the obvious letdown with the HD+ resolution and display tech, the experience itself isn’t all too bad. For anyone coming from the R9 or similar spec devices of Walton will feel right at home as if nothing changed.

The display can’t really be considered a massive media consumptive panel. Rather it is something that will get the job done as a daily driver.
The Camera
The camera has seen a slight improvement from the R9 to the R10. The latter still boasts the same triple camera setup as that of the R9. But instead of the VGA, the R10 comes with a 2 MP depth sensor. Not that it makes much of a difference anyways.
Most of the camera work is done by the 13 MP main sensor. Walton is marketing the camera as an all-in-one solution for burst, panorama, time-lapse, slow motion, etc.
Read More: realme C33 Review: Key specs, pros, and cons
Coming to the performance itself, the camera again performs moderately as we saw on the R9. Pictures in day time come out pretty good. There are a good amount of details in each picture, and there seem to be no exposure or dynamic range issues.
But like all other generic 13 MP cameras, things start to fall apart indoors or artificial lights. There seems to be a slight improvement in the exposure compared to what we saw on the R9, but that’s about it. The videography is still 1080P at 30 fps. The videos look shaky and choppy, as usual, due to the absence of any kind of internal or external stabilization. There aren’t any other notable changes.
On the front, users will be getting an 8 MP shooter, just like the R9. The performance is nothing out of the ordinary with passable results at best.

Processor and Performance
The Walton Primo R10 comes with Unisoc Tiger T610 built on the 12 Nm architecture. It has an octa-core base with a max chip output of 1.8 GHz. The processor is coupled with a Mali-G52 GPU set. In real-world use, this processor isn’t really a very powerful one.
Yet we tried gaming on the device and ran PUBG, COD, and Asphalt 9 on it. The device was able to run all of them in moderate graphics settings. But the main problem was the heating issue. The device became hot after about 30 minutes of continued gaming.
The T610 is best suited for moderate daily usage. You can casually browse social media, watch videos and do the usual daily stuff as you’d do on your device without a hiccup. Anything that is processor intensive will cause the device to throttle.

Battery and Charge Time
The Walton Primo R10 comes equipped with a 4850 mAh battery. That’s a bit of an odd choice since most devices come with a 5000 mAh battery. The battery usually lasts around 6 to 8 hours with continued usage. However, one positive thing here is the 10W fast charger which is usually not present on devices at this price point.
Price of Walton Primo R10 in Bangladesh
The Walton Primo R10 is available in a 4/64 GB configuration. The official price of the device in Bangladesh is 12,999 BDT.
Final Words
Walton never really limits itself by releasing one device each year. Instead, devices come on an almost half-yearly basis with slight variations. While it might get confusing for the users to make the correct choice, it also provides different options and minor improvements in certain aspects.
Read More: Vivo Y01 Review: Is it a worthy entry level budget phone?
The Walton Primo R10 similarly saw a minor improvement in the design and camera department. While most other aspects remain the same as the previous iteration, it can still be a worthy choice for anyone looking for a budget device to suffice daily needs.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: Leaks & rumors so far
The S series from Samsung has invariably become the S-tier of smartphones, at least as far as androids are concerned. These smart-looking, elegantly designed, devices pack the latest and greatest technologies of Samsung. The leaks and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S23 series have started grinding. What will it be like? Should you wait for the S23 ultra or pick an S22 up today? Let's take a look at what we know about the coming soon Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Leaks and Rumors of Galaxy S23 Ultra
The design from the S20 to S21 to S22 has been a whirlwind journey. With each flagship release, it felt like Samsung was out to reinvent its design statement. But that might be about to change with the Galaxy S23 series. We rounded up the expected specs and rumors into several segments.
Design
News coming from the Samsung design lab is that the Galaxy S23 series, including the Galaxy S23 Ultra, will mostly feature the same design as the S22 Ultra. The reason is that the boxy design has allowed Samsung to fit in the S-pen, a bigger battery, and a more evenly distributed ergonomics.
Read More: OPPO F21s Pro Review: What new features does it offer?
It seems like Samsung has perfected the design game with the S22 Ultra, and they plan to stick to it for the foreseeable future.
The S-pen would be reprised much to the relief of the fan of the stylus. The S-pen first made its way to the Ultra series after Samsung discontinued its famous Note series.
There won’t be many changes to the dimensions, and Samsung plans to stick with the S22 Ultra form factors. But the back might see some camera shuffling as Samsung plans to introduce a new main sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Display
Samsung has been the unrivaled king when it comes to displaying tech for several years now. And their abilities have been time and again showcased with their flagship devices. But for a couple of years now, the display tech has somewhat reached its saturation point.
There is the 4K display vying in the smartphone industry. But given the power consumption status of a 4K panel, it still won’t be a realistic choice.
So it's almost certain that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a slightly modified, bare incremental updated display over the S22 Ultra. A Dynamic AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and maybe a slightly increased HBM. Even though the current 1750 HBM is more than enough for even the brightest sunny days.

Camera Series
The camera is where most of the Samsung magic happens. And if you thought the S22 series took things to the next level, wait till the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung is reportedly working to include a 200 MP HP2 ISOCELL sensor made in-house by Samsung. Ice Universe claims that this is the biggest upgrade coming to the S series compared to the last 5 years.
The main sensor is expected to be 0.6-micron pixels with an f/1.7 aperture. The camera is touted to compete with the likes of the iPhone 14 Pro and the Pixel 7 Pro.
Even though the megapixel count is increasing, the sensor size won’t be that different from the existing one. It is expected to be slightly larger than the 48 MP one found on the iPhone 14 Pro but nowhere near the 1-inch sensor of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Read More: Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra Review: Rebranded for New Market
The quality should be on par with the likes of Apple and Google flagships. Even camera tech is reaching a saturation point where it's becoming increasingly difficult to pinpoint the differences between the performance of the flagship devices.
Processor and Performance
There was an initial rumor that the Galaxy S23 Ultra might feature the revamped Exynos chipset from Samsung. But that rumor was quickly dismissed as Samsung will be staying fixed with the Qualcomm partnership.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature the next generation chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset. The 8 Gen 2 will bring an incremental update over the 8 Gen 1, which was the first breakaway chip from the standard Qualcomm nomenclature.

But the chipset isn’t the only thing Qualcomm is providing here. Samsung will also be making use of the latest Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor for the Galaxy S23 lineup. This specific fingerprint sensor is said to be 17 times larger than the existing one on the S22 series, making it even faster and more reliable in use.
Battery and Charging
The standard S22 Ultra featured a standard 5000 mAh battery with a 45 W fast charging. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S23 ultra might get a 5% battery increment in addition to the wired charging being bumped to 65 W. But we’ll have to wait on that information until more details arrive.
Expected Price of Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S23 Ultra
The S22 Ultra from Samsung debuted with an 1199 USD price tag. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is also expected to follow suit in that regard. They might also increase a bit given some significant changes in the camera department. But it should be around the initial S22 Ultra’s price point.

Final Words
The S series has always been Samsung’s showboat. This line has been the amalgamation of the best of the tech world. The Ultra series has only taken things a notch up.
With the resounding success of the S22 Ultra, it's no surprise that the hype around the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is at an all-time high. What remains to be seen is how much Samsung will deliver against the massive expectation.

realme GT Neo 3T Review: The flagship killer
realme was founded as a subsidiary of Oppo that aimed to provide a flagship experience at an affordable price. Over the last four years, the company has seen incredible growth owing to its value proposition, with the latest growth figure standing at 831% in 2021. In its stride, realme has recently launched the GT Neo 3T, an update of their ever-popular GT Neo 2. Let’s take a detailed look at the key features and performance of realme GT Neo 3T.
Key Specifications of realme GT Neo 3T
Design and Build Quality
The build quality of most realme devices has always been plastic. The Neo 3T is no different as well. Because most of what realme is known for happens under the hood. The Neo 3T has a plastic frame and a checkered design on the back which brings a racing flag-like feel to the looks.
Even though the materials are plastic, the durable and sturdy build allows for a pretty solid construction. The glass front is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which is a useful addition.
Read More: Oppo Reno 9 Pro 5G Review: Build for Efficiency
Ports and button selection are as usual. Though as an upper mid-range device, realme has moved away from the 3.5 mm headphone jack as there is no headphone port on the 3T. Another major omission is the expandable storage. These choices are made to be mostly in line with the existing flagships in the market though these aren’t necessarily positive ones.
Overall, the design has some subtle changes from the previous iteration. It can be called an incremental upgrade over the Neo 2 as nothing major has changed, at least on the outside.
Display
The display of the realme GT Neo 3T steals the show for us. It is an AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. In addition to that, the display boasts a 120 Hz high refresh rate along with HDR10+ support.
Read More: Apple to use Sony’s state-of-the-art Sensor technology in iPhone 15 Series
The high spec also delivers in everyday use. In our test, the display felt buttery smooth while scrolling or navigating through the UI. Outdoor visibility was also on point, thanks to the 1300 nits HBM.
The display contrast of the Neo 3T is on the warmer side. But that’s pretty typical of Realme, and it's something that can be changed from the display settings. We also didn’t notice any kind of color shift with the panel.
Overall, the display experience with the Neo 3T has been top notch with hardly any room for complaints.

Camera
The realme GT Neo 3T boasts a triple camera module on the back. While it might sound lucrative and all, the Neo 3T falls into the trap of mid-range smartphones here. Even though there are three different sensors here, the main focus is on the 64 MP main sensor and the 8 MP ultrawide shooter. The 2 MP macro shooter is as good as nothing on the 3T.
Realme, in its typical photo processing fashion, brings out warmer-tone photos that pop the red, blue, and green colors. Photos from the daytime look incredibly detailed with sharp color contrasts. If you take a picture of something very vibrant, the photos might look unnatural at times due to the heavy color balancing.
But the overall dynamic range is pretty good. The contrasted color issue is present in the nighttime photos as well. If you take photos with the night mode on, the subject gets a burst of light which at times might look artificial. Images in low light look overprocessed at times. It's not necessarily bad and will ultimately come down to the user’s personal preference.

The story is somewhat similar to the front-facing camera too. Users will be getting a 16 MP camera which performs similarly to the main sensor, albeit the wide angle feature is absent and the dynamic range underperforms depending on the light.
There is no OIS on the Neo 3T. So users will have to rely on the EIS for video stabilization. The video quality isn’t the best unless you use an external stabilization device. It's passable at best.
Processor and Performance
The realme GT Neo 3T uses Snapdragon 870 5G processor based on the 7 Nm architecture. It’s the same that was present on Neo 2. The 870 is becoming a bit old at this point, with the performance striking somewhere between mid-range and upper mid-range. But combined with the smooth display, the processor delivers.

In day-to-day use, the device absolutely flies. Navigating through the OS and casual browsing didn’t show any sign of slowing down. We tested several graphics-intensive titles like Genshin Impact, Asphalt 9, COD, and PUBG.
All of them delivered a smooth performance at 60 Hz. There wasn’t any lag or frame drop whatsoever. But the device did heat up over time after 30-odd minutes of continued gaming.
Overall, there is no performance slack on the Neo 3T. It’ll be perfect for casual to heavy users alike.

Battery and Charge Time
The realme GT Neo 3T has a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The battery itself is good enough to last a whole day of usage. And the insane 80W can fill up the tank in under an hour.
Price of realme GT Neo 3T
The realme GT Neo 3T has not been officially launched in Bangladesh yet. The device is available in three configurations, 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB. The prices of the configurations are 29,999 INR, 31,999 INR, and 33,999 INR, respectively. The price roughly amounts to 37,771 BDT, 40,289 BDT, and 42,808 BDT, respectively, for each configuration.
The pricing on the Bangladeshi market is not certain as it will depend on several regulatory factors when it is officially launched.

Final Words
GT Neo 3T is a perfect all-around smartphone that will suffice the need of casual to heavy users alike. The changes from the Neo 2 to the 3T are mostly cosmetic with the performance still being a top-notch one.
The battery, display, and processor deserve high praise because of the value they bring for the price. But on the other hand, the camera performance could be a bit better, especially the post-processing. Other than that, the realme GT Neo 3T can be an excellent recommendation.
Oppo Reno 9 Pro 5G Review: Build for Efficiency
Oppo launches its next-generation Reno series on December 2 in China, targeting the Christmas season. While Oppo launches two phones every year in December, the brand will release three phones, Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and the Reno 9 Pro+, this year. The Reno series comes with a good design and an upgraded powerful chip. Apart from these, the phones also have some other tremendous features. Let’s take a look at the key specs of the Oppo Reno 9 Pro 5G.
Key Features of Oppo Reno 9 Pro 5G
Design
Comes in Black, Gold, and Pink Gradient, Reno 9 Pro has a similar design to Reno 8 series. But, on the new series, the camera island is flush with the rest of it while the lenses are protruding. It has a light, thin body with a matte finish in the back. The dual camera is located on the top left corner of the back with an integrated LED flash.
The phone has a volume rocker button on the left edge, while the power button is on the right. The Reno 9 series comes with a BORDI curve curved display like the Samsung galaxy 6 edge phone. While the company nicely finished the curved edges, it also worked on optimizing the edges, making a 2.3 mm thick chin.

The dimensions of this are 162.3 by 74.2 by 7.2 mm. Weighing 174g, Reno 9 Pro appears easy to carry. The phone also comes with a dual Nano-SIM tray on the side. So you can use two SIM at a time, which also gives a dual standby feature.
You will find a pinhole camera in the top middle part of the display. However, the camera is nicely positioned and doesn’t compromise the screen-to-body ratio of the display. It has an 89.7% screen-to-body ratio. The bottom edge has a charging port with the speaker.
