Bad Habits Successful People Never Waste Time With
Habits aren’t easy to let go of. More often than never, we tend to pick up habits that are ideal neither for us nor for our work. We might overlook the presence of harmful habits as a trivial matter. But those ‘bad’ habits are always there to play a significant role in reducing performance as well as self-development. Here are some bad habits that highly successful people don’t waste their time with.
10 Habits Successful People Avoid
They don’t come up with excuses.
It's common for us to make excuses for any fault. This is a basic human instinct and one that we all fell for at some point in our life. However, successful people don’t make excuses. On the contrary, they face every issue and faults head-on. And tend to focus on understanding and learning from their shortcomings. The ability to reflect on their action and performance is what sets them apart. This also prevents negative traits like superiority complex, etc.

They aren’t perfectionist.
As humans, we should always strive for perfection. But that’s not possible in most cases. No matter how much effort we put in, at the end of the day, we are human and prone to errors. The sense of perfectionism is another aspect that might hold you back from being productive. In reality, the target should be to strive for perfection, not to achieve its absolute form. Successful people aim to be perfect and that’s what keeps them productive.
They aren’t people pleasers.
Let's be honest, you cannot please everyone in life. In reality, this is one of the negative habits that bring people down. Why should you bother about what the other people might think? Because in the end, your struggle and efforts are yours alone, no one has a part to play in it. So rather than trying to please everyone, focus to please yourself in your work. Successful people don’t have the time to indulge in others' thoughts. It's not only a waste of time, rather a waste of productivity as well.

They aren’t stuck in a comfort zone.
There is a common saying that reality begins at the end of your comfort zone and we couldn’t agree more. Staying inside or working from your comfort zone may create a bubble around you. This bubble keeps you away from the real-world scenario. Successful people make the habit of going out of their comfort zone to make things work. This not only helps to increase productivity but also induces new experiences to expand their horizon.
They don’t feel entitled.
Another important trait of successful people is that they don’t feel entitled to anything. A good number of people feel some sense of entitlement as they grow up or climb the work ladder. This ultimately bogs down productivity as there is a lack of effort and a tendency to take things for granted.

However, successful people take every chance as an opportunity rather than entitlement. They understand that success doesn’t come out of entitlement or sheer accident; it is the product of hard work alone. This mentality not only promotes growth but also increases the effort in every single work aspect.
They don’t stop learning.
The process of learning is perpetual for successful people. As a person, you might feel that a degree or considerable experience in a certain matter makes you a pro. But in reality, there is always someone who is better qualified or has more experience.
A successful person recognizes the need for constant learning. You cannot completely learn everything as there are tons of new things coming up every day. The right thing to do would be to keep learning from personal experience as well as from the experience of others.

They don’t multitask.
Multitasking is considered to be an efficient trait in human beings. It's often associated with a higher level of productivity. But it's far from that in the real-world scenario. Successful people don’t even try to multitask. Instead, they focus all their effort and concentration project by project, work by work.
It’s a common myth that multitasking generates efficiency. But in the process of multitasking, you aren’t able to properly focus on the tasks. The end goal becomes to finish it, rather than ensuring a quality finish. So, to be successful, you should ditch the idea of multitasking and take things task by task.

Their egos aren’t on their way.
Having a huge ego can do one of two things – either make you overestimate your strengths or underestimate your weakness. Both of these are negative traits that will cost you in the long run. In truth, successful people are also highly realistic. They don’t have an inflated sense of self-worth.
The ability to see beyond their ego makes them better aware of their position and surrounding. This helps them to better articulate a situation and act accordingly.

They don’t blame others.
Your failure is not somebody else’s fault. What sets the successful persons apart is their ability to see their own mistakes instead of blaming others. Successful people think that it's nothing but a waste of time divulging in the blame game. The right thing to do would be to accept the mistakes, see where they went wrong, and work to ensure that those aren’t repeated. So, rather than blaming others for the mistakes focus on taking the reins yourself and work on solutions.
They don’t worry about failure.
Failure is part of life and sooner or later, everyone faces it. No one likes failure but it's one of those crude realities that’s bound to happen. Successful people learn from their failures, rather than getting demotivated. So should you give up if you fail? Absolutely not.

Thunderstorm Lightning Struck Safety Tips: Stay Prepared

Several people were killed in lightning strikes in Sirajganj, Chittagong, Patuakhali, Manikganj, Feni, Madaripur, Noakhali, Munshiganj, and Shariatpur this month (June 2021). Lightning also harms the environment so it’s a comprehensive problem that needs a full-scale approach.
Reasons behind the recent increase in Lightning Struck in Bangladesh
The Save the Society and Thunderstorm Awareness Forum has blamed the abnormal increase in lightning on global warming and a decline in the number of tall trees.
Every degree increase in temperature increases lightning by 10 percent or more. Recently, the upper and lower parts of the dense black clouds are floating as two pools. As a result, the level of electricity flow between them is increasing and lightning is being created. The recent increase in the density of black clouds has resulted in an increase in the number of bolts of lightning in line with rainfall.

According to the US public health agency CDC, people attacked by lightning suffer from burns, shock, and trauma. In some people, weakness, confusion, skin damage, and even stroke can occur. Lightning also causes heart attacks.
Many people do survive a thunderstorm but none of them can lead a normal life. When lightning enters the brain, its heat and sparks burn the brain cells and render them useless. In the case of survivors, therefore, trauma, mental disorders, personality changes, etc. are observed.

Today's post will discuss all the issues, including the use of your blender/ juicer machine, costs for a brand, a non-brand, etc.
The things to keep in mind before buying a blender
Motor Capacity
The most important thing when buying a blender is the quality of the motor. If the quality of the motor is bad, the machine may overheat and break down, or an accident may occur. If you buy the machine to use regularly, it is better to buy a motor with 500 watts. And if you buy it for inconsequential purposes for occasional use, then it must be over 300.
Blade
Another important component of a machine is its blade. Blender blends mainly with this blade. So, you must keep this in mind when buying a machine. First, check if the blade of your machine is made of stainless steel. Because when you go to blend, most things have to be blended with liquid. As a result, if the blade is made with a normal metal, it is likely to rust and damage the blade. But stainless steel does not rust. So, you have to buy a blender with this in mind.

Safety of the machine
When you buy your blender, check if there is an automatic option to turn off the machine from being damaged when there is extra pressure on your machine. The auto-turn-off feature protects your machine from being damaged.
Warranty
You will also require to check the warranty of your blender. And when buying, keep in mind whether your location has a servicing center. If the servicing center is not near to you, it will take a lot of trouble to fix it.

Black Fungus Infection: Panic Rising Among Covid Patients
In continuation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the black fungus infection has given rise to new panic among Corona patients. At the inception of the infection, it has reached the level of a terrible epidemic across India. Those who have already recovered from the corona or are moving towards recovery are also affected. Even those who do not have covid are not out of risk yet. With 50 death rete, scientists are worried about its severity in the future. The final stages of the disease are unlikely to be cured, so it is important to be aware along with the correct knowledge in advance.
What is this black fungus?
Black fungus is a fungus called mucor, which grows in a dark wet environment, humid and temperate climate. They can easily grow in any organics, such as perishable fruits and vegetables. It can be found in soil, plants, fertilizers, and even in the noses and coughs of healthy people. 30 to 50 percent humidity is favorable for them. However, their growth is less below 4 degrees Celsius.
The fungi look a lot like tree stalks that are scattered all around. They have a kind of black spores or fine cocoon-like germs that cannot be seen with the naked eye. But if many are born in a certain place then it can be seen with the naked eye. These spores are basically their reproductive organs. These swell and float in the air like pollen. They are not damaged even by the sun's ultraviolet rays.

How does a black fungus infection occur?
The harmful condition caused by the mucor fungus in the human body is called black fungus infection. In medical terms, it is called 'Mucormycosis'.
According to an internationally renowned scientist Dr. Bijan Kumar Sheel, the black fungus enters the human body through the nose while breathing. The spores of the black fungus cannot harm a healthy person by entering into it while floating in the air. But when the immune system is low, they begin to reproduce in the human lungs. It can then spread to different parts of the body and cause death.
It is only natural that the body's immune system, damaged by coronavirus, needs at least some time to recover. During this time, the body is completely exposed to any viruses or bacteria. In that sense, the coronavirus can cause many new complications even after recovery. From mental illness to the heart or brain - anything can happen. And black fungus infection is one of them.

The reason behind this infection
Needless to say, the reason behind this infection is the creation of a damp environment in which black fungus can grow. Millions of germs are being born in such favorable conditions, whereas the human body's resistance to disease is gradually declining in adverse conditions. In continuation of this, the human body is completely vulnerable to these germs due to coronavirus infection.
Steroids used to treat coronavirus are responsible for black fungus infections. Doctors prescribe steroids to covid patients before or after referral to the ICU. These giving extra steroids can lead to subsequent fungal infection in the patient’s body. Mushtaq Hossain, a public health expert in Bangladesh, said that doctors should be careful in giving necessary medicines considering the patient’s condition.
The steroid relieves pneumonia in the corona-affected person. When the body's normal immune system becomes active in preventing the coronavirus, the body suffers some complications. Steroids help repair these complications. Meanwhile, it increases the amount of sugar in the blood. Then it reduces the body's resistance to disease. Everyone, who has or does not have diabetes, has these troubles. As a result, patients develop Mucormycosis.

Boycotting Israeli Products: Is It Practically Possible?
The long-running conflict between Israel and Palestine took an even more violent turn recently as the two states practically went into a state of war with each other. With the recent escalation of conflict, the global response has been somewhat mixed. Most of the western countries including the European leaders are supporting Israel’s right to self-defense. Muslim countries and the coalition of OIC have been vocal about the atrocities carried out by Israel in the occupied lands of Gaza where Palestinian residents have been forcefully removed from their homes. In addition to that, there have been massive airstrikes carried out by Israel that have killed civilians in the hundreds to which Hamas also retaliated with airstrikes. As most of the developed countries turn a blind eye to the plight of the Palestinian people, there has been a global call to boycott Israeli products as a form of protest.
What is the impact of boycotting Israeli products?
Since its foundation in 1948 after the end of the British mandate and proclamation of the Jewish state, Israel set itself on a prolific development course. The initial years weren’t easy as it had to combat economic recession combined with refugee intake from Europe. However, the state took a keen interest in technological advancement as well as exporting locally produced goods and brands.
Their advancement in the tech field including computer hardware, software as well as spyware made them a key exporter of these goods in western countries like the USA, UK, Hong Kong, and China. With a huge volume of export of local as well as international brand products sourced in Israel, the net exports hold almost 29% of the GDP of Israel. Boycotting Israeli products lands a huge blow to the percentage share as well as the economy of Israel.

What are the Israeli products and brands?
Before we get into the details of products and brands you need to understand that some of these brands are not directly owned or operated by the state of Israel; neither are they owned by an Israeli corporation or owner. Rather they source the products or use Israeli Logistics to produce the commodities and sell them worldwide.
Though technically not an Israeli product, they do help the Israeli cause and contribute to the overall economic development of Israel. Procter and Gamble, the notable mother brand of products like Gillette, Pampers, Olay, and Oral-B have considerable ties with Israel. Pampers, one of their successful diaper range is sourced exclusively from Avgol, an Israeli company with factories in the occupied West Bank area. Intel also has plants in Tel-Aviv which manufactures a share of their global chipset supply.
Notable construction brands like Caterpillar supplies armored tanks to Israel which is an essential element of their field military strength. The retail and consumer sub-brand of Caterpillar, CAT also sources and holds a considerable investment in the state of Israel. Hewlett-Packard, commonly known as HP was one of the first western companies to establish a business hub in Israel back in 1994. To this day, HP holds a significant foreign investment in Israel and has been a key player in the tech revolution of the state.
Other notable brands like SodaStream, Puma, McDonald's, Motorola, and Volvo also share economic ties with Israel as well as sourcing their product through factories in the occupied area.
The technological advancements of Israel saw them take a strong position in the internet business scene as well. Popular websites like deviant art and website building tools like Wix are all based in Israel. One of the biggest freelancing platforms of the world Fiverr is also owned and operated from Israel with its headquarter in Tel-Aviv.
These are just a few notable international products that are used on a global scale in almost all the countries of the world. However, there are tens and thousands of Israeli products that are relatively less known but are an important contributing factor to the economy of Israel. You can check for the barcode of a product and if it starts with 729, it is designated to be a product from Israel.

Why is it challenging to boycott Israeli products?
The state of Israel has always pioneered innovation and development of critical and crucial products across a range of sectors. As we have mentioned before, the advancement of Israel in the field of technology has been immense. From crucial car navigation system like Waze to optical heart rate monitor that enables smartwatches to monitor heart rate, all of these technologies were developed in Israel.
Not just these, global social hubs like Facebook or popular search engines like Google and Bing all use components made in Israel to optimize their network and service. The proprietary company Mellanox has been a key supplier of these components.
Other innovations like the mobile camera to portable disk drives, all of these technological milestones trace back their origin to Israel. From a western point of view, with such deep-rooted ties to everyday life, it is almost impossible to boycott Israeli products.

How can you boycott products from Bangladesh?
Contrary to popular belief, some of the products that you might see making rounds on social media don’t share any ties with Israel and as a result, you have no reason to boycott them. Bangladesh is also the only country to not share any form of economic or diplomatic ties with Israel so our government doesn’t act as a benefactor in any way.
Though not directly available, some of the international brand products that we mentioned above are still available in the country with the products of P&G being the most widely available one. You can find an alternative to these products either sourced locally or from brands that don’t share any ties with Israel if you want to contribute to the cause.

Bottom Line
The conflict of Israel and Palestine is long-standing and one that has caused a heavy toll on life and humanitarian crisis. Where the most form of protest is limited to condemnation of the atrocities alone, many have called for the boycott of the products to show solidarity with the people of Palestine and their cause. That is about as much that can be done from a civilian point of view unless the ongoing crisis is resolved once and for all.

Law of Attraction: Ways to Manifest Your Dreams
Some call it karma while others believe it as the Law of Attraction. Under the category of pseudoscience, this principle doesn’t have concrete facts to stand by its credibility, but it is far from a counterintuitive practice. It is told that the Law of Attraction can help chart effective ways to manifest your dreams.
What is the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is a train of thought that highlights the good that can come from thinning positively versus the opposite, where negativity begets more negativity. Much like meditation, there have been many successful stories that stem from this, even if it was not supported specifically from the scientific industry. Also like meditation, a lot of negativity from the mind may have grown subconsciously, which makes the intention of living positively an antidote of sorts to the grim outlook some of us may tend to have.
How to Manifest your Dream Life through the Law of Attraction?
Establishing The Correct Focus
Introspection is an innate ability that every person has and is defined by psychology as a type of intelligence. In order to reflect on overcoming an obstacle, it is key to identify that any problem at hand can be solved.
By shrugging off the impact of a negative situation and turning your focus into a strategy to overcome the issue, the focus becomes centered, and more importantly, productive. By reflecting on a situation via emotions like stress and worry, your ability to introspect becomes warped and turns into paranoia as the magnitude of the situation is rarely as bad when viewed upon objectively.

Tracking Your Worries
It is human nature to perceive many events in a negative light. When the norm is cynicism, worry tends to become an obstacle all of its own which can attract situations that are just as negative. When worrying becomes at the forefront of your thoughts, that is when it becomes difficult to enact the previous point of focusing on a task objectively.
In order to mitigate this, keeping track of what you are worrying about and writing it down can actually help quite a bit. With a fresh perspective the following day and when your emotions have stabilized, it becomes a lot easier to deduce the significance of each worry with an objective mindset.

Breathing Properly
Despite being the very thing we need to do regularly to survive, breathing tends to have various layers of complexity - especially when trying to calm the mind. Breathing from the diaphragm is the healthiest way to pace each breath to be longer and more drawn out.
By engaging the belly rather than the chest, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system which is the bodily response to rest and digest. The common instruction to “take a deep breath” is thrown around frequently for a reason, and there is the truth behind it. It isn’t going to be a one-stop solution to eliminating stress from the mind, but it is an immediate step that can be taken for quick results.

Meditation
Meditation still has relevance to improve the overall health of the mind, but it is best used as a supportive tactic to address negative thoughts that may have won over the “worry list”. Meditating won’t exactly eliminate all terrible thoughts, but it works in tandem with breathing intelligently, reflecting upon the nature of your worries, and escaping a negative situation all at once. It partners well with other tips on this list, which never makes it a bad thing to do regularly. With this combination, you’ll be doing the absolute best you possibly can to subdue these natural bad thoughts, but how do we go about making good ones?
Mediation, along with introspection does wonders for this too. When there are days that the feeling of dread and worry isn’t overbearing, it is still worth taking a few minutes to sit back and gather all the positives that are present in the situation at hand. Granted, it will take more effort as it is harder to condition the mind to tap into positivity as an instinctual outlook, but with enough introspection and calmness, this is definitely possible. Meditation is the medium where time is deliberately being set aside to correct one’s thought process and positivity should always be the goal - even when certain days are looking good.

Get Moving
When the body undergoes stress, muscles tense up, blood pressure heightens and other effects will start to occur. Just moving about in motions that is comfortable for you will establish a rhythm that will lead to some level of comfort. Doing yoga, going for a walk, or even cooking are all movement-based activities that can create a habit.
After a while, this habit will become therapeutic when muscle memory kicks in and a routine is established. Exercises are often recommended, but if the act intensifies anxiety and stress, it is then ill-advised.

Tracking Your Gratitude
Much like tracking your worries, being grateful is never a bad thing and noting it down is worth revisiting when things start going south again. Not only does it make you feel better when things are tough, but it also helps better compartmentalise any situation at hand and deliberately seek out the good in it for your journal. This is one of the first few steps to actively begin pursuing a positive mindset - having this journal around on hand will definitely complement other ways of maintaining positive thoughts.

Defining Your Goals
Perhaps this can be grouped together with the gratitude journal, as defining your goals is what will get you moving after correcting your frame of mind. By planning, you begin to take control of the situation, which means asking yourself “why” when setting these goals. It isn’t harmful to question the reasons you feel grateful as well.
This is a good way to check whether your positivity is genuine or forced. After achieving your goals, the feeling of calmness and purpose will be strong enough to replace the negative thoughts. All the steps on this list work together and will require constant effort and a softened mind that will welcome these changes into the core of your character.
