Two men died, and two others injured after falling from the roof of a moving train while making a TikTok video in Brahmanbaria’s Akhaura upazila on Wednesday.
The accident happened around 11 am near the Mogara Railway Bridge in the upazila, according to a press release from the Ministry of Railways.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Kaiyum Mia (22), son of Abdul Karim Mia from Debidwar upazila in Cumilla, and Tarek Mia (20) from Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria. The injured are Ikram Hossain (18) and Billal Mia (25) from Kasba, it said.

The accident happened when the Sylhet-bound Paharika Express train, coming from Chattogram, passed through Gangasagar Railway Station in Akhaura. As the train reached the Mogra Railway Bridge area, the four men on the roof stood up to record a video.
While filming, three of them were capturing footage of another when they got entangled in a cable hanging over the railway tracks, causing them to fall off the train, said the release.
Abdul Kaiyum died on the spot, while local residents rescued the injured and took them to hospitals. Two were admitted to Akhaura Upazila Health Complex, and one was transferred to Brahmanbaria General Hospital.
Tarek Mia succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
