ACC: Govt officials held for taking bribe in Dinajpur


Dhaka, Sept 22 (UNB) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday arrested two government officials in Dinajpur on charge of taking bribe.

The detainees were identified as auditor of Dinajpur Accounts Officer’s (DAO) Office, Anowar Pasha and Ferdous Hossain, cashier of Cotton Development Board.

ACC Public Relations Officer, Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said they also seized TK 30,000 from their procession.

The drive was conducted as son of a late employee of Cotton Development Board complained that the duo demanded bribe for paying the full amount of his father’s pension money.
